Tuesday

Ugh!  It was a short night.  There never is a reason I can understand that trims the night. There was another morning snow that was beautiful.  Just another good reason to think it would be an inside day.  All of the morning things happened.  I started another scarf last night with knitting about an inch, adding more as the morning and afternoon progressed.  

Mid-morning soup making filled the mind and with all the leftovers in the refrigerator, I thought it would be an easy job.  And it was.  Woo.  Four containers happened and in a couple of days I'll pass the Schilling house and I'm ready to share. The best ever unbelievable turkey/vegetable soup resulted this morning.

I decided it was time to sew another ten burps for babies.  The little engine that could has been very quiet, so pushing the peddle to the medal helped to get another 10 completed.

And of course there was sleep time.  Short nights make that happen easily and sitting with needles is a sure recipe transporting me to the land of oz. There were pills to pick up.  They could wait.  More dr. appointments were confirmed.  The first day of another three weeks of Kisqali medicine happened.  Yeah!  All inside work and easy to do.

So not very much happened.  Perhaps averaging yesterday which was crazy with today which was not could be part of today's lazy crazy Tuesday. 


I did venture once outdoors looking for the paper.  I took time to bundle up, grabbed my cane and went looking.  Today turned out to be an AOL paper Tuesday.  Later I shoveled a path through the patio making a person path for the birdfeeder.  They also were AOL for the day.  They must have had a busy day yesterday along with their meal provider. 

The blog writer wrote.  And the day ended as it usually does with no surprise there. I will admit that the body I live in seemed to be a bit happier as the end of the day nears with the slower pace that happened today. 

But those busy days happen, even in Carmel. As Alexander would say.

Red sails in the morning, Sailors take warning.   The warning sign was miss thinking about a wonderful day with a gorgeous sunrise, but it turned into anything but wonderful. And after yesterday's blog entry, what was hoped to be a good week had a dismal beginning.  Jared called to tell us that Sunday evening Wyatt, their beautiful red poodle stopped eating and by three in the morning of Monday as Jared was driving to Lancing to the Vet at Michigan State, Wyatt died.  Wyatt was one wonderful dog in every sense of the word.  Smart, friendly, protective with absolute understanding about so many things.  Today and the days ahead will be days of mourning eventually becoming times of reflections about all the good that Wyatt brought to us.  His camping chair is now sitting in our living room reminding us of that goodness he gifted us.  After hearing about this event, I took a walk outside to clear my head and heart and found the first of many crocus bl...

Amazing Saturday

 For many reasons it has been an amazing day.  One to remember as long as memory allows me.   Once again sleep did not stick with me, so I was once again out of bed around 1 last night.  I thought of checking the IU Portal for whatever it was going to tell me.  And it did a lot of talking about the scan that happened Wednesday.  The Easter portal news is that all cancer related things seem to be pretty stable with even some slight improvement in one area. Ever so slight but that still is great news.  So. for now, I feel like the stone has been rolled away and new life is with me.  Thanks be to God.  So back to bed and I slept till 6.  I'll take it with Thanksgiving.  Breakfast came and the clock proved it was time to leave for Church to get a jump on Easter visuals before the crew arrived.                 New members Hannah and Andrew working in the chapel with the lamb and...

 Back home again in Indiana.  That's where we were arriving late afternoon yesterday after a wonderful time with Jared, Kimmy and the grandsons adding Kimmy's many relatives to our visit.  It was just what I needed.                                                         Happy times but good grief.  What's with the hair, girl?      We arrived late at the Jared/Kimmy Russell home Thursday afternoon again rediscovering family again along with many free-range chickens, three cats, joe, the horse, three ducks four ewes and Eli's sheep for this year's 4-H entry.  Numerous goldfish would join us later in the week.       This is Eli's friend Hope holding renamed Barb because her nest was found hidden in the rhubarb.             ...
