Thursday

Red Bud trees are in full bloom.  Beautiful, Beautiful against the pine tree green.

I knew it would come...that's a good night of sleep!  It's just a little allusive. The day proved to be interesting.  I checked the garden and started with an idea of cleaning a little space. That took until 11:30. I guess the space wasn't so little.  But with all the cover gone the weeds were exposed and deposited where the garden wagon was located.  It was a great way to start the day with the birds singing and all seemed well with the world.

                                                                Lilacs are starting.

After a short lunch I was off to church for a B and B meeting and a little more Easter prep work added.  I always think of more things to do when at home.  The B and B meeting was interesting and decisions need to be made that will perhaps change some of my routine.  I'll wait and see the final word.

Home again collecting checks that needed to be cashed so I was off to the bank for depositing flower money spent from my budget.  I stopped at Ace Hardware for a few flower pots I can use here at home in the patio pot.  The strong wind told me to plant later.  I didn't want things to dry out and it's really early in the growing year.  So I'll babysit flowers for a little while.

Sweet Blue Bells.  It won't be long before asparagus is on the table.

I continued the garden work and the biggest bed is ready for some changes from sun to shade again.  Some dear neighbors dropped by having not seen them since fall.  We can talk a blue streak while the husbands just seem to stand around.  It is really difficult to get to the period ending the visit.  She will be back again tomorrow needing some Sweet Woodruff for ground cover.  There are at least three neighbors who have my garden at their house in some form.

Supper happened and the evening was spent at church attending the Holy Thursday Communion Service with special music by the V I A choir group.  The first of three services this weekend.

The flower pictures were taken yesterday after the rain showers.  Woo.  Plants are popping their beautiful flowers.  Life is good.
