Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

Yesterday was another garden work day. Should NOT surprise anyone anymore. Lots of weeds were removed. It's those pesky ones that just don't seem to mind the cold mornings to grow after the snow. They sure were healthy pretty green ones that now are no more. You might think that nothing was cleared last fall. Wrong, wrong, wrong. The garbage truck and it's driver are my friend taking away all the unwanted last fall and now spring trash. I took a walk this morning with my coffee cup. Still to cold to work but there is another bed that needs raking. Sad to say it's not the last bed either. My hope is that I have a little more sense as to what will keep my body working well. It's a bit sore this mornng. I'm encouraging it to "get over it". We made a wonderful run to the bird food store. I could spend hours looking from one end to the other. There is a well stocked supply of bird food in the garage and we added an Oriole official feeder. We'll see what happens this spring. I also ordered a bluebird feeder that the starlings cannot get into. My wire contraption is working at times but not always. Today there is more to do. And I am so encouraged in the ability to do. It's a gift that I charish. Do, Lord, oh do Lord oh do remember that I love to do. I kidnaped part of a song as some of you will recognize. Of course the shovel will be out, the rake and hoe will be added. It's another do day. Rain is expected tomorrow and Monday. Tomorrow is church day and the first Sunday in Lent. We will have communion during the service. The anthem is I surrendar all. Wonderful words that begin another period in the church year leading to the foundational event leading to Christianity. Tomorrow marks the beginning of a new week. One that will see major surgeries for my friends Daphne and Angie. Both surgeries are the results of cancer. Then there is only one Dr. appointment for me this week. My belief is that it will be fairly routine in scope. Dr. Baker is my safe person to connect with.

  1. Love to see the garage door up and you in the garden. Always on the prowl, hey, Mrs. R?
Hope that bluebird feeder lives up to its resume. Please keep us posted. After working at WBU for 5 years, I attest that not everything touted met expectations. Believe me, I bought more than my share labeled "guaranteed" home and tried them myself.
Sure hope yours does. Keep us posted with the trial news.
I will keep an eye on you and the birds. SJ
