Thursday

A great morning to mess, and I did.  All the little plants got a check up leading to decisions about what needed to be moved to another place, what needed to stay the same and what if anything needed to be pitched.

I got all the necessaries together and this is what happened.

Something to watch to see what happens.  Four little succulents are getting a start in a new place.
The succulent that was living here wasn't so happy so a completely new                     plant is living here with a friend.

The plants living in this Dennis bowl seem to be getting along.  I left them undisturbed.

While we were visiting the family in Georgia an interesting conversation was heard between Eli and Uncle Dee.  It was strange and one they understood perfectly.
This ampersand found at Goodwill is a perfect Eli gift. Just couldn't do better.  Don't you think so Dee?

In the early 80's there were 4 teachers who taught first grade together at Forest Dale.  We've lunched together periodically ever since those years.  Today was one of those lunch days.  We have lived through so many milestones together keeping up with family events and more.  A very best friendship team.

This afternoon the entertainment seems to be captured by photo  Could it be a new bird?             Our theves  never give up, this time eating some very old seed from one of the feeders.

A squirrel with his face in the round globe.
I dumped all the seeds on the ground and that seemed to solve the need for climbing the pole.                                                    I could be called a no fun for squirrel person.

Supper tonight was another Shepherd's Pie attempt.  Not exactly. The meat should be ground beef and this one was chicken.  But the rest was as it should be with a mashed potato lid over vegetables and a chicken and onion flavored rue.  Doug thought it was wonderful.  That makes it a winner.
I used some Dennis cereal bowls for baking.  The Santa helpers are bringing me some real bowls!!!!!

  1. Eli's gift is perfect! I am so glad you found it, Lela! The only thing better would be an ellipsis. (Think about it: you could give him three wooden circles - like big checkers . . .)

I just hope he does not read your blog. Or that the rest of his family remains tight-lipped.
