Sunday all day
I was up at the usual time. Daylight savings time has rolled around again and the sooner the better to see light in the morning again. I messed with the phone, TV and the sewing machine early in the morning. One more little bag made and then off to church.
Palm Sunday a few years ago. I think we'll let the donkey in the stable this year. We've got to keep things fresh.Woo...it was a block buster morning with music and preaching. All so well coordinated. The staff talks to each other in making a take home message in so many ways. I talked to a lot of people before and after church. It's so good to see friends.
Chuck who is a new cancer patient sat behind us. Prayers for healing. So far what treatments have been tried haven't had any effect on his cancer. Chuck is a Church of Good minister. His wife Janet, also a dear friend was a member of North's staff years ago.
These are the real thing for years past. No babies this year. The breeding sheep years are over. Jared is taking care of his back. They are so cute.Charlotte and I talked Blue Birds after church. After more wishful thinking and getting a bank loan...I purchased a never fail mealworm feeder for the B Birds. It's bye, bye Starlings. Charlotte and I both have these never fail feeders now hanging in our back yards. Yeah!!!! I'll be thinking and then doing a gourd bird house for her real soon
Two years ago I made a few houses. Most are gone. Some as money raisers for the Umoja project. Charlotte will get a new one.
Another conversation with Ginnie told me that cover ups can take a rest but burp making could continue. So I'll move along again to that very soon. And another conversation with Amy told me that cookies or maybe even pie cold be added to the Wednesday evening meal at church.
Another conversation with Rick got the container for Salt used in the Bread and Bowl program filled and stored in the right place. The container store came through again.
And in another conversation with Julie and Kathleen I shared my profound thanks for the Voices in Accords rendition of Coral Variations on Ah, Holy Jesus. arranged by Pretrich. Awe inspiration of the best kind. We will hear it again the evening of Holy Thursday. I am so grateful. The singer needed double or triple concentration to get through this piece. And the listener is taken on a journey of twists and turns with musical notes and words signifying Jesus' last hours of life. Who was the guilty? It was I.
Bright eyed with no busy tail. Just a beautiful blue that seems to get bluer every day.I'll spare you all the rest of the conversations. There were more. I am the daughter of a great salesman.
An easy afternoon with Purdue basketball again. Two trips to Wild birds because I forgot my purse! Dah!!! And then blog writing before I forgot everything.
It's been a great day of starting another week. I owe the Lord a morning song of gratitude and praise. For the kind mercy he has shown in lengthening out my days. My mother would sing that as she cooked. It's my turn to sing it.
In a couple weeks we should have a cute little Suffolk lamb. Eli's 4H lamb.
