Monday

The morning started off with breakfast and then a trip with Eric to Nora where he catches the bus to Indy.  I always love these trips in the winter often accompanied with a beautiful winter sun rise.  The morning light was coming through but it will be even better in another month.  I have taken some beautiful pictures in the early morning.

Home again and I did some sewing and some knitting.  The usual stuff that seems to be the winter work.  Ten more burps and I finished another scarf, one that could have been finished yesterday.  I was thinking no rush which is really true.  There is no rush. All the ripped fabric has been sewn so it would seem new ripping will happen soon.

This noon was our first North Side North Church noon lunch instead of supper.  No driving in the dark for three months.  There were eleven of us, a smaller group but we all sat around one long table which was really nice.  And there was so much talk that most of us could relate to.  Dec. 7th and the big war memories. And the conversation went on and on for two hours.  We usually leave after 1 1/2 hr.  We just couldn't seem to stop with memories.  There were many.  And did we laugh?  There was plenty of funny stories about many things that supported the memories.

After leaving we went to Ace Hardware for some unplugging stuff for the bathroom sink.  It didn't work so hot so what really fixed the sink was just pulling the stuff out with a very long hook.  It got the job done. I make a good plumber.  We stopped at the drugstore of course.  And then it was home James...no Doug.

The peanut bird feeder and finch feeder were filled.  The squirrel got the go home message. The number of birds at the feeders are few but I'm giving them all the royal treatment of a variety of things to choose from their dining menu.

I pulled out another container of turkey stuff and made another pot of soup.  The plan is to leave some at the Bob and Rita house tomorrow on the way to another doctor visit.  This time the one who knows how to control seizures.  I would say she is pretty good at her craft. It's a yearly visit that's easy to do.

The house is lacking any Christmas decoratons at this point.  One of these days the grandson's stockings will hang at the windows.  We're enjoying the neighbor's decorations.

There are two.  One glows red and the other blue with LED lights.  Woo, they are bright at night.

Supper was soup.  Doug did an Eric pickup, and I stayed home to do this blog.  It's football tonight in America.  I'll do a few stitches and another Monday will be under my belt.  Or in the safe.  Or something.
