Tuesday

 Last night's sleeping history.  Wake up at 1 like it was time to get up.  So I got up and then back to bed by 2 with the rest of the night sleeping.  The nights are so interesting.  I never know what's going to happen.  Then the alarm woke me up at 6! Did I need to set it?  NO!  What a ditts.  

                        This little rose Doug propagated 50 years ago.  It  just keeps doing it's thing. 

I watched a little morning TV.  Ate some oatmeal.  Did a little sewing.  And then it was off to Noblesville to see a new eye doctor.  Such a young thing.  I think they make them younger every year.  He prescribed reading glasses.  I said not now.  I'll use my drugstore brand.  Each eye is really different and his suggestion probably should be followed.  When I can't thread the sewing machine needle I'll give in.  Stubborn old girl you might say. Readers are helping.

   Everything seems to be earlier than usual.  I'm wondering if that will be the same for this little visitor. 


I stopped at Westfield's Goodwill after the eye doctor visit but left it all there. The next stop was at Lowes to check out the palm plants.  I'll be back before Palm Sunday.  All the flowers in pots are at least 10 bucks.  I've got to do better needing flowers for Easter.  Sullivans and Lydia are always really good to us.

Another stop at the computer guy to talk about my blog stuff that's not working.  He wasn't there but will be in tomorrow at 9. I'm wanting new pictures to post.  I'll be back in the morning. Then a trip to the post office with another package for Kimmy.  

                            Potting soil is ready to help the flowers in the pots.  Just thinking!

Then it was home again for a little while.  The next trip out was Aldi's.  Doug needed food meaning ice cream among a few other things.  I bought baking potatoes.  Horseradish needs something to sit on.  So a baked potato with a salad was the evening meal.  

Our neighbor Rachel was over with James.  Such a cutie getting use to Doug and I again.  I gave Rachel some horseradish along with a few miniature jonquils.  James was walking everywhere looking a little like me what I'm trying to keep everything in the upright position. 

I need to bake cookies tonight.  I'm tired and sleepy so we'll see what happens after supper.  I could put them off till early tomorrow.  Wed. would really be full.  Let's say...cookie making...computer visit...Lunch with my girl friends...Afternoon?  Supper at church for a Lenten meal and UMCOR packing session.  There is a lot to fill Wednesday.

Red sails in the morning, Sailors take warning.   The warning sign was miss thinking about a wonderful day with a gorgeous sunrise, but it turned into anything but wonderful. And after yesterday's blog entry, what was hoped to be a good week had a dismal beginning.  Jared called to tell us that Sunday evening Wyatt, their beautiful red poodle stopped eating and by three in the morning of Monday as Jared was driving to Lancing to the Vet at Michigan State, Wyatt died.  Wyatt was one wonderful dog in every sense of the word.  Smart, friendly, protective with absolute understanding about so many things.  Today and the days ahead will be days of mourning eventually becoming times of reflections about all the good that Wyatt brought to us.  His camping chair is now sitting in our living room reminding us of that goodness he gifted us.  After hearing about this event, I took a walk outside to clear my head and heart and found the first of many crocus bl...

 The morning started off with breakfast and then a trip with Eric to Nora where he catches the bus to Indy.  I always love these trips in the winter often accompanied with a beautiful winter sun rise.  The morning light was coming through but it will be even better in another month.  I have taken some beautiful pictures in the early morning.   Home again and I did some sewing and some knitting.  The usual stuff that seems to be the winter work.  Ten more burps and I finished another scarf, one that could have been finished yesterday.  I was thinking no rush which is really true.  There is no rush. All the ripped fabric has been sewn so it would seem new ripping will happen soon. This noon was our first North Side North Church noon lunch instead of supper.  No driving in the dark for three months.  There were eleven of us, a smaller group but we all sat around one long table which was really nice.  And there was so much tal...

 Another Monday.  There have been many.  I think I've had 1524 of them.  Math wasn't my best subject, but I think that number is close to being correct. I am more than grateful.  In another 13 days soon to be 87 with 52 Mondays in a year.  Should I have added the 0 year?  Yikes. There are many Mondays.  Go figure yours.   There was breakfast and the garden walk and sure enough, sleep gave the embarrassed zinnias a gift.  They look great although a day in the sun will have some affect.  Tomorrow they should really feel good.   I did a bit of clipping this morning and found that yesterday and today's deer food resulted in 63 naked stems with not a day lily bloom left to show themselves to the world.  Grr for sure.                              The leftovers from the midnight meal of daylilies.
