Wednesday
' Flowers from Rita.\
Another good day. They are piling up and I have no regrets. Last night I did some cutting resulting in 8 burps ready to sew this morning. So that was one of those morning things to work on finishing them in record time.
So cute! One last thing before our trip north was to prepare take out bags for our next Saturday's workday at church. That means opening 60 plastic bags getting them ready to fill. I'm going to do another set of 60 knowing that we will be at the monastery the last Saturday in November. It just makes life a little easier on days when the staff is less in number.
120 bags ready for the month of November. Teaching taught me to work ahead. Then it was time for Doug to take me for a ride to I U North again for my two Fulvestrant shots that happen once a month. The medication is thick when refrigerated so it needs to be at room temperature to administer. Removal from the refrigerator doesn't happen until they see the whites of my eyes so there is sitting time waiting for the solution to move to room temperature. So, it's a time taker. Not hard to do.
After all that happened, we were off to pick up the phone at the Oehler house. I HAVE MY PHONE AGAIN! You will have pictures.
Another picture of our Oehler tree planted about 49 years ago.Arriving back home I decided that Stella needed to take a walk, and I went with her. It was a bit windy, and I was happy when the wind was at my back. The temperature was perfect. There have not been many years when this close to Halloween we have not seen any snow or sleet or some other ugly weather. I felt like my wool sweater was like an electric blanket. How nice. I passed the Beckerman house and seeing Sara out I wheeled Stella in, and we had the best visit. Sara wants to garden and when spring comes around, I hope we can do some work together.
Then it was up the hill with Stella and a visit with our mowing man of many years and lunch.
I spent a little time talking with people by phone about next year's financial part of Kisqali. I need to do nothing now and probably not till January. They will let me know. Woo, woo! I am beginning to think that this Kisqali forgetful brain is allowing me to stay out of jail with a free pass to fly past go with all the help I'm getting. The cancer health care folks know the brainless cancer patients need all the help they can provide. There are a few gaps in thinking.
Then it was out to the garden to get a few more old flower buds looking once again soon for seeds. I checked the pepper patch deciding to do some digging. The peppers needed to be harvested. And I did.
Petty shiny rain-washed peppers. Now what to do with them? There is no better eating than stuffed peppers, so a big pan came out to blanch two peppers. They taste so much better when that happens. I made some different stuffing with rice but thought it tasted pretty bland, so the spices came out and I kept dumping until I was satisfied. Everything went together and Rita and Bob got a meal and we ate the other for our meal. Yum, yum. More stuffed peppers are on the way.
So good. We'll do this again. No soup for this meal for sure.I guess there is one thing planned for tomorrow. We'll see if this all comes together.
