Friday.
Darn...someone forgot the sled. It's always happening. Remember, they are birds. Big birds at that.
Today I anticipated snow. At least 2 inches. Not much promised but I was ready to move from the brown season to the white season. It didn't happen. There was a tease but that was about it. I heard that the Michigan Russell's got snow, so I requested pictures from Kimmy. That's what you will see today. It's the white season there for at least a little while.
Knee deep in snow. These birds are inside overnight but they love to be out during the day. Even with no boots.I spent all morning on the chair with yarn and wool. Last night I got the wool ready so the morning started with a bang. Well, not quite but I was ready. The morning came early and ended when I woke up on the chair. I'll take it. So I stitched all morning and three of the six pieces have yarn added. More to go with no hurrying in mind.
Waiting for the birds but they must be in the barn. I see no animals in the field. They must be with the birds.
After lunch, Doug and I headed to the Y again. He's finished in 60 minutes. I needed 90. So little by little I'm stretching the time. Christmas music played in my head as I walked the mile and then the bike came along for a little while. That's where the stretch needs to happen. The flower garden and vegetable garden are taking 40 winks or more.Back home again and for something different to do I sewed 10 burps. That is a start on the next 100. No hurry. No one is waiting.
I picked up the book and did a little reading. There are 550 pages and I'm halfway there still learning a whole lot. No hurry.
Split Pea with turkey bacon on top for supper. And then looking forward to the I U Notre Dame game.
I call this a good day although a little snow would have made it a tad better. I'm ready.
no hurry
