Thursday
Another slow day. I'm loving them.
Once again I'm sucked into the book. Trial and error. Success and failure. It's all the ups and downs of learning with cheers and laments. So, the morning was full of reading. That is until I went to Goodwill to retrieve something that I didn't think I needed yesterday. I needed it today! Someone else needed it more than I is what I discovered. So, I bought a sweatshirt. I donated two a couple of weeks ago. They didn't fit anymore.
Pretty...isn't it! I'm talking about the sweatshirt! Kimmy, this lady has her eyes open. She is not talking! This old lady bought the same sweatshirt that I did.Back hope and another sack of summer and winter shirts are ready to move on to someone else.
Proof. The next trip south will see these move from the seat to the store.More reading and then Doug and I did an hour or so at the Y. I walked a mile this time listening once again to Christmas music. Drummer Boy, Frosty, Have a Holly, Jolly Christmas, White Christmas, Here comes Santa Claus and more. Those were the good years of music with so many written that still are heard every year. What a gift still come to us created more than 60 years ago.
Supper was a meatloaf from the freezer along with those delicious potatoes once again. Better than soup any day.
The word is that snow will be here tomorrow. I'm ready, bring it on. Nothing bigger than 2 inches they say. A little excitement is what I need.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
