Friday
Half of the day was a bit disconcerting. The other half was just fine. So I'm happy for the just fine that happened and want to forget the part that was a bit disturbing. You have heard it said that at times communication just could be better. That's part of it. There were assumptions made. Communication breakdown for sure happened.
You are getting the short version. This time I fired a Nurse Practitioner. The last time it was a doctor. Nothing makes me more upset than when I think there has been no preparation done by the health person for the visit. No checking the chart to review what was said. Maybe even nothing was written about the last visit which leads to twisting what was said. Making things up. And I think I was treated for the wrong thing. There's more but not sharing. You get it! I'm done with her. But will continue PT with Roe. She throws me a life jacket every time.
I was spitting mad and so frustrated trying to figure out why this all happened when I got home. The best thing to fix that was knitting and basketball but even better was dirting in the garden. And I did a whole lot of dirting until I was really, really tired. Those little weeds are making me work and not think. I dug a bunch of black eyes out. There will be more room for annuals that bloom all summer. It felt good. And remember that cute little weed. It's not cute anymore. I scraped and dug and then did it all over again. Perfect mental health treatment.
I pulled a lot of weeds out of this patch. It's ready for preen now. Behind the bench is a great spot for the straw flowers. They grow tall, tall. Artemisia will grow in front of the bench if I let it. Susans are fewer behind the bench.
After seeing the tiny straw flowers emerge in their gal. jug, I thought it was time to do more planting. I fixed two more gal. and planted a lot of Benary's Giant Blend zinnias along with some short zinnias that were seeds from last summers planting. We'll see if I saved correctly.
Late afternoon I was back at basketball with a report from Nancy that I U ladies had won their game. There are so many games to watch. So MANY. The Ohio ladies play tonight.
Supper was bean soup for Doug and Cream of Broccoli for me. Time for picture taking and blogging and then more ball. Tomorrow is soup kitchen day. Busy is good.
