Monday

And if today needed a descriptive word, it would be wonderful.  So, here is the rest of the story.  I have been blessed once again.  It's one of those over and over things that keeps happening.

Since Easter was yesterday and next Sunday is Earth Sunday...once again Heidi and I met at North around 9 AM to make some good adjustments and add on things to visually make Earth Sunday a visual experience.  We talked through a lot of options and came up with some fresh ideas.

East side of the chancel area.

At least that is the hope.  We moved things. Subtracted a few things and added a few things. Saturday will see what is not done will be finished after Soup Kitchen work.
Altar area.  The butterflies will be hung on Saturday.

That includes some banners hung high overhead in the west entrance as well as some large kite size butterflies placed in the sanctuary. A few other things will be added.

South side of the chancel area.
We're digging into Doug's fossil world for one option.  The garden gazing ball with rocks smoothed by the waves of Lake Superior found on the beaches of Hunters Point near Copper Harbor Mi. is another choice. We're adding shells and the garden gazing ball will find a place.

I was back home by 11:45 with time to recoup and be ready for the 1:00 departure to the Simon Cancer Center to meet with Dr. Schneider.  I had my list of questions and the portal report in hand.  A cancer doctor in training was the first visitor and asked and answered a lot of questions sharing a lot of information.

There was news that confirmed the portal information with better explanations that only Dr. Schneider could give me.  There were again no words declaring a cure, but the words shared said that there was CURRENTLY  no evidence of ACTIVE cancer anywhere in my body.  Now that's a gigantic praise God from whom all blessings flow.  One being doctors interested in learning about this kind of cancer  walk along side their patients.  The days ahead will still include scans, pills, shots and doctor visits keeping our eyes on the ball ready for whatever is ahead.  Cancer has a knack of hiding and mutating.  It's really good at that.  Being vigilant is the work ahead.  But for now...no evidence.  Wonderful news that is taking a bit of time to sink in.  It feels like the last day of school when the buses pull away from the curb for the last time.  The pressure is off.  Breathing is easier and the months ahead will be filled with summer fun.  Thanks, and many thank You's be to God, and to all who have prayed and all who have shared support since this saga became evident in November of 2020.  The journey isn't over, but the words heard today and the place where I am is WONDERFUL.

The blue bell patch is even larger than the picture shows. Asparagus is appearing and the lettuce looks great but to little to eat at this point. The money plant is blooming.  It's show time.

It was back home by 4:30 that included a stop at Aldi's.  The cupboard was bare once again.  And now it has recovered.  Doug did the Monday Eric run and I stayed home to make an apple salad and write the blog.  I did a short garden walk and found more milkweed and butterfly weed.  Now I need Monarchs.  Tonight...Yeah!!! Ball games again. Woo.  Life is REALLY good.  God, doctors and medicine and prayers are doing great things.  I am receiving Showers of blessings. Mercy drops around me are falling.
