Thursday.
Today was a little bit different. One of these every few years is quite enough. The morning started with another early trip out. This time it was a five minute drive which was quite all right with me, the driver. Doug would say no way. But his colonoscopy went just fine according to me. When having a 6:30 am check in that brings about a 9:00 check out. And during the in between time I chose to come home.
I like orange.Doug has slept all day and that's something he is really good at. Sleeping! So that was his day.
Remember these just a few days ago. This is today and I predict that tomorrow some will be blooming.I continued to work outside with doing more edging. This time it meant moving Superior beach rocks, clearing out all the weeds and leaves and then putting the rocks back. That happens to all the beds with rocks about two or three times a year. It's time consuming but I thinks makes the beds look better.
I checked for more Creeping Charlie and of course the Charlie I found got pulled. I made a run to the drug store in the afternoon for some new medicine. We'll see how that goes. Later when it was cloudy I decided to work in the big garden area digging out artemisia. Woo. That is a huge job. The roots were many and they were tangled with each other. Digging was hard but lucky for me the plot was small. And then of course the sun came out again. I left for the shade.
I bungy corded some Nacked Lady lillies. New gal. jugs of seeds were checked. My first attempt went well but when they were big enough to plant the weather turned really cold. The weather was against me and I will admit that I was an early bird that did not get the worm.
The lawn killer man got these. The hope is that the next bunch will be eatable. The deer were here last night but all was covered. A gardener always wins some and loses othersSupper was broccoli soup. Doug woke up enough to eat and then it was right back to the recliner with more snoozing. I spent a little time breaking up the artemisia soil I dug and then it was basketball time. Woo, woo. What a day. Tomorrow, Doug has a PT session for his shoulder. We'll see if he is awake to drive. One never knows.
