Tuesday
Not too many things happened today. The wind was cold and I was inside for much of the day. That meant the sewing machine was busy.
Today I finished the 40th floor blanket for the Goodwill Babies. It was marathon day at the machine. I have more fabric but it would seem that I need a few more pieces to make floor blankets more interesting. Nothing really "goes together". So would I want ugly? I would rather not. But the 10 I did today took enough work and there will be more tomorrows.
Doug stopped at I U North for his monthly B 12 shot with the girls. I told him to behave, and his report was that he was good but the regular girls were not there. Thank goodness.
We did an afternoon trip to wild birds for finch food. I think we have enough of everything else knowing that the feeding will be diminishing soon. Birds can find their own food, except B Bird food keeps the B Birds here, or so I think. I saw the B Birds chase the Starlings out of their feeder. Yeah! The Piliated was working on an old stump looking for ants. I would say that would be good protein found on his own. They are good at surviving without us humans during the summer months. We'll miss all their visits.
An old stump bird paradise filled with ants for the BIG woodpecker, Mr. Piliated.I made a few phone calls and received one about tomorrow's scan. I forgot some of the details given 4 months ago. Yikes. No morning food. Lots of water and the medicine drill. The next few days I need to keep my eyes on the calendar. The week of the 21st is even busier. I hope I can keep up. I'm looking forward to May at this point.
The B Bells are loving this cool weather. They will last a very long time. There are so many with babies coming up everywhere. Along with the Blue Bells comes the Red Bud trees. They look purple to me.
Wow! Happy birthday, Mary Kay!
