Tuesday

The: day started in the car.  Well, maybe not but the car thing came at 7:50.  For someone else living in this house the day doesn't start till around 9.  So, I let him sleep and I drove myself, once again downtown Indy to the Simon Cancer Center.  I can do it! At this visit I saw Dr. Langer who directed my radiation treatments on my head the spring of 2021.  He always wants to do a yearly check, and it was time.  BUT he graduated me out of his program.  Thank God.  An early morning trip to downtown isn't very easy and today proved that to be true again.  So, I said goodby to another great guy who walked me through a difficult mental radiation treatment.  I am grateful. Why did I choose an early morning visit.  I didn't choose.  I was told so I complied.

While I was having radiation at I U North, I always stopped at Rosies garden shop after treatments. That always seemed to help with getting my mind in the right place.  There were many times when I just looked.  Times when I visited and times when I bought.

A Coral Bell called Pumpkin Spice.  Something different for a boring spot.

So today I though I needed a marker for the good by Dr. Langer event.  It wasn't Rosie's but Meijers. I did a lot of looking and some buying.  The day has a marker.

This will go to church next Sunday before it goes in the patio pot.
So, there was some planting.  I have a few markers to remind me of the goodness of those who walked the walk with me.

A few more places have had some attention. Not enough yet but we're on the way.  So, I dug holes, watered a little, fluffed the soil a little and just played in the dirt. I planted more dianthus, one of my favorite early blooming perennial plants.  You can never have to many.

I worked on this spot for quite a while.  I want to add some Lavendar plants.  It's a good hot place with good drainage.  There are some herbs here close to the back door when I need them. But this bed needs a little more help.

Susie and her husband, a next door neighbor are moving to West Field to a bigger house.  At least for now that is the hope. Their house, across the street sold in less than 24 hours.  Woo.  Somethings happen fast.  She and Rody should be moving sometime in May.

Doug made some fossil choices for me to pick through.  We'll need them for the Sunday Earth service and planning early is on time.

                                                                        I think we have enough.

Supper saw the first asparagus of the season.  It's a yummy vegetable if one likes asparagus.  I do.

Tonight the Pacers play their second game.  I will be ready.  Early is on time.  Something to live by.  The chair is waiting.
