Wednesday.
False Salomon Seal popping up as it does every year.
I don't know if the spirit brought this on but I'm a bit tired, no, really tired with my day starting again for the second day in a row at 2 AM. What's with it. Should I blame it on the spirit. Probably not. I spent the dark part of the day knotting. I didn't have that on the agenda, but it was easy to add at that dark hour of the day. What I thought would take all day was finished by 8 am.
All knotted and ready to go.Woo. I could tell the day would be full having that kind of a start. And the next start was another scarf. Why not. Yarn is waiting and I just moved on to something. I just got it started and will work a bit tonight. So the Christine stuff is finished. I'm move it on when I see her at church Sunday.
There was a little morning TV stuff and then it was time to put away all that was needed for the latest sewing project. That took a while.
I decided a trip to Kathy's with some Love in a Mist plants needed to be shared. So I dug and moved the two clumps to Kathy's garden with the hope of not being seen. She texted me pictures and was so excited that finally her seeds had germinated. Joke, Kathy. I love to get her a little sideways. During her Covid quarantine, I made her a wren house and just pitched it out the car window landing by her mailbox. Today I made another wren house and will pitch it tonight. She'll find it probably in the morning near the Love. My sense of humor. It's sideways.
The lawn got it's first mow of the spring. I thought they would be here. We had some long grass.
It is a son, father Carmel business. On Wednesday the father works for the son. The father is on the riding mower. It's a real team that gets the job done quickly. We have no complaints.I perused the garden again finding a few things that needed to be moved. Two coral bells needed a better place in the sun. Lamb's Ear was covering up another plant. It got moved. And I found some more tiny Bergamine that joined the new patch also now in the sun. More Charlie is showing up making sure I don't forget him. All the movers got a drink after supper. This is really good moving weather.
This was the scene from the patio. No longer brown but green.I talked to Kimmy for a while today. I certainly miss the Michigan family and a phone call really helps. I told Doug the car needs to visit Midland. I got a little grunt.
Mock Quince. After cleaning all the dead wood out and being 50 years old, we have a stunning bush. The weather is a bit strange today. It's been tornado warm with wind really whipping. There are warnings out to stay aware. It's April.
Supper was apple, grape, celery and pecan salad. Yum.
So off to make a wren house delivery. A little bit sideways. Fun, fun.
I am not sure whether Hostetlers had sideways humor or whether you learned it from your in-laws. The pictures are great - lovely quilt and gorgeous mock quince!
