Monday

Monday, a start day to the work week. I'm retired but there still is work to do.  That is if I want to do it.  There was a great sleep again even though we turned the clocks back yesterday.  Sometimes sleep doesn't take advantage of the extra hour.  In this day and age, for me,it's just another go with the flow kind of thing.  But the day light was obvious, and it was time to rise and shine.  7:45 A M.  I give 200 MG Gabapentin and the cpap machine all the credit.

I knitted for most of the morning finishing one Boe Tie Scarf and starting another that I worked on during the day when there was time to knit.

The morning was spent at Whispering Hearing.  Doug is always prompt about scheduling a yearly appointment.  I'm not like that.  Since there never is a change, why spend 50. dollars for someone to tell me that all is well and all is the same.  But I got a little antsy and decided to find out if all was the same since it's been at least 3 years since the last appointment.  Well, all is the same.  No changes have happened.  I got a few questions answered about some noise.  And after paying 50 dollars they let me go on my way.

And that was to Meijers for Doug's Country Time Lemonade and Coffee filters.  A lot of C Filters.  That's one thing we cannot run out of.  Then the last thing was a stop at the drug store, again! Then it was home to do more knitting.  I love to do these Boe Tie Scarves, but I need to knit while walking.  Sitting is not such a good thing for someone my age. One sit leads to another sit to another sit.

In the afternoon I spent time at the Y on the treadmill with Chopin again.  How sweet can that be?  Then a stop at Goodwill and I left it all there.  The winter clothes selection was excellent, but I have plenty of week day clothes and Sunday clothes.  What else is there in my life.  Well, I did look at shoes but when checking my shoe glue job done yesterday, Goodwill shoes are not on the list.  So what do I need.  Well, always flannel sheets and there were none.  So, it was home again with Doug greeting me with "what do you need help with carrying in from the car?".  Nothing, I was happy to say.

Now where do you think those big letters came from.  They remind me so much of the Stinky Cheese Man story.  Some big letters and some small letters.  Crazy, Crazy. Stinky Cheese is a children's read aloud book.  It must be read aloud with different voices.  It's full of humor the reader gets with some humor going right past the kids.  That really makes it an even more fun book to read. It's a twisted tale of nursery rhymes all in the same story put together to make a new story by a genius.

More knitting and I'm almost but not quite halfway finished with today's scarf start.  Also tucked into empty spots during the day was the trimming of the wicks from all the bees wax prayer candles used yesterday.  A new wick was released from the wax. Doing this process makes the unused portion of the candle usable again for next All Saints Sunday.  Just trying to save a little church money. It isn't easy but its a can do with effort.  It's football in America tonight so the needles will be clicking away while the beat goes on.  The candles will be finished tomorrow along with the windows?

The temperature was wonderful today and I forgot to do the windows.  Convenient, wasn't it.
