Saturday
And now for mostly Saturday news.
The puzzle was finished in what I call almost the middle of Friday night. I'm not surprised at all. The Georgia visits almost always ended with a middle of the night experience. Nothing new for the Michigan folks.
This is a tough puzzle, gifted to us from Kat and Eric. But I'm really trying to fibure out what's under the table.Because of snow warnings, especially for Michigan, the car with 5 people pulled out of the driveway at 8:50. They should arrive at home before they are buried in white. Then the big dig should be part of their experience when Sunday finishes with the dump. Of course, having a tractor with a scoop will be a part of the solution at some point.
As you can tell...before they left, Jared found a way on the computer to do pictures again. Working with a mother who has a bit of a chemo brain even without the typical chemo but now with pills was a part of the early morning educational experience. I wish I knew where to get some new storage brain units. Now there is a son to be proud of knowing how to teach and reteach with patience.
So, the house is quiet again. The kids are bigger and most of the time the din is not what it once was. I gave them some outside the house options, but they chose no outside the house options with one exception. They love all the sidewalks in the area and did a lot of walking saying the weather was perfect even though Doug and I thought the house inside was a bit chilly. That's what the Michigan family thought was perfect. The thermostat went down, then the thermostat went up, then down.
Today was planned to be a Russell day with everyone here. Friday afternoon and evening turned into that event. There was a lot of Goshen talk along more card playing for the adults. Who knows what the kids were doing. They were big enough to stay out of trouble so ignoring them happened.
So today started with a snow drop but more is expected here in Carmel. I love the winter wonder land.
Like Ethel sang...Those were the days.Another random picture of a beautiful dahlia grown this summer in the garden. There will be more next year. Laural G divided one huge root tuber into many tubers. There will be many plants.
Glad the pictures are back. Hooray for sons who can figure out how to make it happen!
