Thursday
Another great night of sleep. Woo. I'm blessed for sure. There was the yogurt plus thing for breakfast and then on to retrieving the paper and feeding and watching the big flock of Red Wing Black Birds fly in. They certainly remember where the peanuts are. The Juncos are back, so there always is a little breakfast of black Sunflower seeds on the ground. That is until the hungry squirrel wakes up for a meal. The bird bath was empty meaning that a deer stopped by during the night. So, I would say the animals are taken care of at the Russell patio some way or other.
Patty called concerned about a possible increase in community folks at today's meal offering at church. She wants to volunteer today if needed. One never knows what the numbers will be. I look for an increase on Saturday when the children are home with moms and or dads.
Today was another morning of Living Strong at the Y. Visiting again with folks on the cancer spectrum happened and then we were off to the working assignment. Mary Ann gave us a good work out. It's beginning to make a little sense with the brain starting to kick in. We spent some time with our iphones getting personal information recorded and figuring out how communication works.
I passed Goodwill with no parking places available. That's a good sign. Then on to Aldi's where there were parking places. That's another good sign. I did some filler shopping, filling up what was missing.
The needles were busy last night, knitting until the next scarf on the needles was halfway to the finish line. Finishing was the assignment today and that happened. One more added to the stash making 11 now waiting to keep someone warm. Number 12 is on the needles. It was a frosty morning. The weather is changing with a killing frost not expected till next week. Blooming zinnias are still seen from the kitchen window.
After the morning workout, I took advantage of the sunny afternoon with a walk around the block. That's an easy walk especially if my NO KINGS sign has been removed. Yesterday the wind direction made it an easy walk and then the wind direction made it a hard walk. The sign is large. I'm not throwing that sign away but stashing it behind the bedroom door for another day. I'm sure it will come.
The rest of the afternoon was filled with more knitting. That will continue again during the evening hours.
Just before supper, the lawn guys came not to mow grass but to chew up leaves. That will happen once more before the yard is ready for winter. The garden didn't change one iota today. I just spent my time on the chair with the needles.
So another day of living longer and with the Y's help living stronger. Thank you Dr. Schneider and Julie and thank you Mary Anne. I am blessed beyond measure.
