Friday

The best news ever...I remembered to get my shots.  Sometimes the brain just doesn't engage.  Bad connection, loose cord, worn out battery or busted fuse.  It could be something else.  The brain said nothing going on today but then I goof up big time on Wed.  One needs to learn to forgive oneself. Well, the three big shots of medicine are in so I'm on my way for another month.  The blood draw done Monday allowed me to skip today's blood draw.  Yeah!!

                                                            Another scarf almost finished.

For the rest of the day there is nothing on the calendar.  That doesn't mean it will stay that way.  I noticed this morning the pop tarts were low.  That could be disaster for the other member of the house.  Well, the yogurt also was low and that is certainly a disaster for the other member of the household.  So, I suspect there will be a grocery run at some point for both of the others.  There is still plenty of Thanksgiving turkey in the freezer.  No meat needed and the big three, eggs, milk and bread are in pretty good supply. No blizzard is predicted.

The shots take some time, so the knitting went with me. Knitting continued today but the need for more H L yarn is drawing near, still not dire but near for sure.  There aren't many places to buy yarn these days.

Doug did the wash as he has done for years just like his father CW did.  Thanks a bunch, Doug. There was folding to do and we're both good for another week.  The minnie trip to Aldi's happened and we stopped at Korger's for a few things.  One biggie needed was BARLEY.  I love it in soup and there was no barley again.  Aldie's never has it. Once again Doug was a super-duper cart pusher. A skill he learned quickly.  The rest of the day was simple.  It just happened in a very quiet way.

Another ten burps almost finished.                                                                                      It's beginning to sound like an almost day.  Well, I would agree with that description.

Thank goodness for quiet days even though this one had an important start.  I can do quiet very nicely. It helps with the not so quiet days of which happen oftener then one could imagine in a retiree's life.
