Sunday
Another great day with church in mind. There were a few morning things at home and then Noah needed a ride to church, and we also picked up the Schillings. Years and years ago when Janice and Bob left early for church providing the music at the first service, we took their children to church. Today we took the older mom and dad's now in their 90's. On the way a face time came from the oldest son Derek who lives in Switzerland. What fun with technology. Something new for our travel time.
Church was super and all the beautiful visuals were at their best. A small group of high school girls with their high school music teacher John, a North member, were playing Christmas music on their violins as we entered the church. What a nice gift. This was a first Sunday of the month communion service.
After church we expected to leave immediately but as usual no matter how hard we have tried, it just doesn't happen. There were questions to ask and answers to hear. There is a large special group of people meeting late Thursday afternoon and satisfying needs hoped right to the forefront. So, the after-church time stretched a bit more today. I think we're ready for our nativity open house and the other Thursday events planned for that space. I love to share what I have learned is important to me. Time spent doing that is always well worth the time one needs to take. I never feel cheated.
The Colts played this afternoon and didn't do so well. After the IU over Ohio State win last night a loss doesn't seem so bad although I would wish better for the Colts.
I did some easy knitting taking it easy with the needles. Ginni got her 20 scarves and 100 baby burp cloths this morning. I think we are in pretty good shape with those two items although babies are always being born and there never are enough gifts. The afternoon and evening promise to be pretty simple and that is a pure gift.
Since this is the first Sunday of the month, another zoom meeting with family is planned. We will miss Rick who is at a hockey game when we are visiting. Go Stars!!!! I'll hear from my Wings Michigan son.
Since I didn't take many pictures, there weren't many pictures to post.
