Friday

would say this was an OK day.  I was a tired girl last night falling asleep after supper with a wake up from Doug and then doing it all over again.  Back in bed at my usual 10 pm and then slept all night with no wake ups till 5:30.  I call that a really good night of restoration.

Today I took it pretty easy with one exception.  I count that a good day.  More later.  The morning was nothing new as you can see by the picture.  All the good stuff was within arms-reach while working on a guess what?  Of course scarf.

My Stanley keeps my coffee hot until I decide to pour coffee into my Kimmy tumbles.  Glasses waiting right beside more knitting.

Kat posted on face book that a good snowstorm was coming and all she needed was more yarn to take care of the weekend. And I think she proved that by the picture in H L.  I would say the big 4 now seems to be eggs, bread and milk with an added yarn. That would take care of both of us through any kind of winter storm.  Now it's extreme cold and Saturday evening we could be adding snow.  Right now they are say 4 to 8 inches.  Who knows now?  We'll all know Monday morning when it should be over.  I have a blood draw Monday.  I really would like to see that happen in the morning.

We made our way to Wild Birds and picked up the peanut cage.  It was a very cold drive.  Brrrr.  Mealworms came home with us.  The birds will survive.  There was another rearrangement of feeders depending on the weight.  One doesn't want to arrange so that the pole needs to work hard to stay upright.  And the little birds figured out how to attack the peanuts.  The Starlings tried with a no can do with the slender part of the arrangement, but they did manage a nibble on the acorn.  Figuring out what comes next if there is any next rearrangement, it needs to happen on a warmer day.  It was COLD.  Not chilly.  Cold.  Brutally cold. North Pole cold.

The Acorn is a little fatter than the cylinder of peanuts.  The Starlings have proved that to be true. If there is a lot of misbehaving, I'll remove the acorn.  I attached a bottom piece, protecting the peanut feeder preventing the Starlings from flying straight up to the acorn.

More knitting but not much and then it was another Y excursion.  The music this time was Bettovan's Seventh.  My music appreciation class in college was all about the Seventh.  So, it was super fun to hear at least the first three movements.  That's all I needed to get me to a little more than a mile walk.  Now the exception.  I usually have a pretty fast pace, but never quite walking the meter.  But the third movement of the Seventh is really fast, and I moved the treadmill up to 2.8 MPH and kept up with the conductor.  That's really fast for me.  Woo.  My hips know they have been on a terror of a walk.  I called it time to go home after three movements.

Supper was leftover Ham, Beans, and Potatoes.  The last of left over yummies. The birds were a little sparce today.  I bit those little feathers are working hard to keep those little bodies warm.  I have a coat filled with feathers.  It's WARM.  So, we'll keep the food available and when the spirit moves, we hope to see birds taking advantage of the free restaurant.  Speaking of free...Tomorrow is soup kitchen morning for me.  I wander who we will see before the storm.
