Friday

A very quiet day and I am grateful. There wasn't much push to do much of anything.  It just was a day for the most part.

Just a reminder of what happens sometimes.  This one came from Mi.

The morning saw some knitting work.  For some reason I have a sore thumb that holds the knitting needle.  It feels like the skin is cracking so I put some Gold Bond cream on it a few times today that helped a lot.  So knitting was slow and easy.  No hurry, no worry!  The morning just eased along like a lazy river.

More to my liking.  I hope we see these in a few months.

I made a trip to the Y in the afternoon for a mile walk in the park on the treadmill.  Today was San Francisco Day. It reminded me a bit of a trip my neighbor Judy and I took soon after I retired doing San Fran first.  We attended a BIG Gourd Show south of LA later in the trip.  Fun memories.  The NuStep also got a workout.  Doug dropped me off and then went Red Wing shopping.  He decided to wait for a sale.  I hope there is one soon although he does have two RW pair.  What I think is a hoot is the pair he wears every day only has one soul worn through. The second pr. he is wearing now he calls his church shoes. They will take him places for a while.

Another old picture from Mi.  I just don't want them to forget about winter.

Back home again with a tired body which is just OK with me.  It's telling me that I did something today and have permission to recuperate.  It was another ham/beans and potatoes supper.  We need a new cook.

The PT routine continues daily.  I've got to be ready for Tuesday.  No, I need to be more ready for living. My Tuesday teacher is not easy. That's a good thing.

Coming once again tomorrow.  Church Soup Kitchen day.

Jared and I have had fun today texting back and forth about the game tonight.  I told him roast duck was on the menu.  His brain tells him that I U should never be good in football.  Just basketball.  Funny guy. We've upset the apple cart for him. The Indiana Fight Song is playing in my head.

So the evening should be interesting but probably nerve wracking.  Yikes.
