Saturday
Woo. Do I like having this blog back to where it was until it went rogue. The devil is in the details you all have heard. I don't know who left the gate open but Andrew knew how to close it. And if rogue comes again, the hope is that my brain will remember where the get out of town button is located.
The morning was quiet again. I love it when that happens. Quiet is good at least for now. I finished another scarf now having 11 in the giveaway basket. One of these days I'll be giving away again. The news kept my attention trying to figure out who, what, when and where and why again. I only got a few of those figured out. And they are a big maybe!
Later in the morning I checked through the freezer and found some Thanksgiving turkey that needed cooking off the bone. I've filled some containers with delicious ham and ham broth to use later and today it was time for the turkey. So, when that cooled enough to mess with, I added containers of turkey broth and turkey to the freezer. Today's kitchen effort should be some motivation to cook.
I did a little bird feeding with some yummy stuff and sure enough, around noon the Blue Birds were back.
While trimming pictures on the iPhone a big bang sound came from the window. I think a Hoopers Hawk slammed into the windowpane a couple of times. I can report that I saw a mass of black and white feathers fly back to the pine trees. ALL the birds were gone and for a very good reason. The only thing left was the squirrel munching away on left over seed. Lucky guy. I hope the birds will be back tomorrow.
The afternoon saw another start of a scarf. They keep adding up and I keep sitting and knitting. The knitting part is fine. The sitting part needs some work. Yesterday's left shot for the first time ever is hurting today. There is an effort to miss scar tissue during the needle insertion. I think Jesse hit some scar tissue. Time should help the hurt disappear. Indeed, a trip to the treadmill might make a difference. A 1 1/2 almost 2 years of receiving monthly long shots called infusions, I've been told causes scar tissue. Maybe I need a bigger butt. I need to think about my options. I've decided my choice is to encourage Jesse to find better infusions spots.
Two red schools make a whole lot of red. It's an afternoon of basketball with a whole lot of choices. Football is squeezed in between here and there.
