Sunday

A yesterday picture.  I think they were off finding a place to keep warm today.

Another church day.  I was awake to greet it in the middle of the night.  Why?  I don't know the answer but I know it was a very short night which made the morning come very early.  Must be getting old...you think?  I heard once that old people don't sleep.  Should I believe that?

By gone days with the hope of returning soon but never soon enough.

Since the morning started in the middle of the night, there was a lot of time to knit even though we left for church an hour earlier.  This morning was the designated time to move Christmas to the attic during the Sunday School hour.  So off to church First there was a long conversation with Amy about health issues.  Then conversations with Darren about some good stuff among other things that has happened during worship that I would like to see repeated again.  He said yes.  And then it was work time with a group of super teens making a human conveyer belt up many steps with all the Christmas stuff.  There was probably an actual ton of stuff in many containers. Not a figuratively speaking ton. The kids make it look like such an easy job to us V Arts folks. And of course. they earned more than cookies but that's all we had.  That job completed is a real load off my mind.  We can move on.

These never last long enough to get old.

And guess what.  Eric G talked to me after the service about a conversation in
his LGBTQ committee meeting about decorating for our annual Pride celebration during the month of June.  There are a few other things happening before that like Lent, Holy Week and Easter.  Then comes Pentecost, and after that June. Planning ahead makes it all work.  It's not too early to think about June.

Later in the morning in a gap just before the second service the angels made their way up those same steps.  They are very fragile which leaves their flying ability in the hands of some adults.  Another job completed with 95% of the work finished.  VArts is finished but there are a few odds and ends not completed by other folks that need to be stashed away.

Church was very good with a MLK theme of fitting music by the children and the choir and the congregation. and of course, the word spoken by the director of the MLK center just north of the church..  Another good Sunday.  We sang Life Every Voice and We shall overcome.

This was at their rehearsal.  They are robed for church.  The younger children's robes were made by church ladies at least 75 years ago.  Still good as new.  Fabric was different then.  It will last for many more years.  Amazing for sure.

Another scarf is on the needles.  Well barely on, but on! The week seems pretty simple.  Could that be another joke? One PT session comes on Tuesday. It's time to get to the homework. The cold predicted at the beginning of the week might just make home the designated place to stay warm and happy.

Football was part of the entertainment world for the afternoon and evening.  One win I didn't like and at publishing time, the other one was yet to be determined.  There was another protein drink with the effort of stoking this body with healthy things to create a good supply of energy.  Perhaps a night of sleep will return. .
