Thursday
A good reminder I read every day that tells me to keep my mind in a healthy place.
Today never got out of slow gear. The car did not leave with me in the front seat. It was a good home day for a change. One I needed more than I realized. So, it was a gift I didn't know was going to be a gift.
Not this year but a great reminder of a couple of years ago. I did this all by myself! Fun, fun. There was a good sleep with a good breakfast with more quiet time before Doug appeared. I'll add, he is never noisy, so I guess quiet continued even after he was up. I left him retrieve the paper and then picked up the knitting for a few minutes. I'll do the same this evening with the hope another scarf goes in the finished basket. If it doesn't happen...no harm done.
Today was burp day. Not at a steady pace but a little burp here and there! Too many burps are a bit uncomfortable according to babies. The ten I added make another 100 readies a trip to Ginny's babies. I would say we're close to 2000 burp cloths now.
Every time I make a new set of burps with new fabric, I think they are the best ever. It's happened again. The birds were interesting. They say feeding B Birds twice a day is enough. It would seem there might have been a Thanksgiving feast at my window. Someone kept refilling the dish. This afternoon I counted seven B Birds in the feeder at once. Standing room for sure for mealworms and tiny suet balls that drive them nuts. Speaking of nuts and the peanut variety...I'm seeing fewer and fewer Starlings fussing at the peanut feeder. They still try to invade the B Bird feeder but are too big to scrunch down to crawl in. They can't flatten themselves like B. Birds can.
There is nothing quite like a Copper Harber Sky.I noticed this morning the bird feeders with black sunflower seeds were empty. They weren't last night. Then I saw deer prints everywhere. I've seen deer visit the feeders at the neighbors. I guess it was our turn last night. We might need to bring those feeders in for the night. The squirrel was quite happy with the results. The Starlings? I don't think they figured that out.
I was feeling a little off this afternoon. Sessions with naps and a protein drink helped to fix that. Some days are like that even in Australia according to the book.
There was new broccoli soup for supper with the blender getting a good work out creaming everything together. Something different for sure.
I'm going to continue the simple day making it a simple evening. I'm loving the longer evenings with sun light. Now we need to fix the morning. It's a false sense of thinking winter is almost over. But what ever helps is what I'll take. Zinna time is on the way somewhere. Just like it's five o'clock somewhere as well.
Scrolling through the pictures I found this one. Please meet Dr. Moore. He orchestrated my first surgery of 9 hours calling in other doctors who did their magic of taking things out and putting things back to fill the cancer tumor hole in my head. A wonderful caring doctor of which I had many and still continue to have the same. Feb. 1, 2021 memories.
