Thursday
Today, there was time spent at home and time spent other places. Of course, the day started at home.
About a month ago I spent some time with my diabetic doctor. Some changes needed to happen and some made on a trial basis. So, the month of trial has passed, and it was time to do some reporting. So off to the doctor's office to pass in my homework paper with the tell all results.
So pretty. I'm happy to have these in my memory bank.I took a new way home which led to some crazy turns that got me to Rosie's for a garden visit in her beautiful gift shop. She was closed. And then I chose another crazy turn to the Nora Goodwill to check on flannel sheets. There were none but I did find some crazy looking frogs that would be interesting in the garden. I left them on the shelf. Then it was back home again in Indiana.
Red beets before the bunny came.I finished another scarf and started another one. Well, I should say about an inch of another one. I can see a trip to HL for more stitching material soon. My fingers need a rest first.
And now for another wonderful memory of what can happen during the summer days. A boring winter makes this even look better.
It doesn't get much better than this. Year 2024 had a very good August. The birds were interesting. We've seen red but looking a little like brown breasted notches at the feeders this year. They are something new this year visiting often. It seems they hear a dinner bell around 12 PM. Of course, there are a few Sparrows and a whole lot of Finch. The blue birds never disappoint.
The afternoon saw a long Y visit with a 30-minute 1 mile walk on the treadmill and then more time on the Nu Step all with more Chopin covering the whole visit. How nice. I wanted to hum along with the melodies. Then came a visit with R and B sharing two meals with them. There was an additional treat with a visit with grandson Alex a super duper second grader taking me back to a few years ago. I would say second grade children are the best age ever without a doubt! Growing in independence but not there yet all the time.
Then home again with the blog and then supper. We'll be dining just like R and B. The evening will bring another basketball Pacer try. I think there have been 13 losses in a row. I'm NOT a good loser.
But tonight is also the next to big game. Miami and Ole Miss. The winner is important. Then tomorrow there's the Ducks and Hoosiers Match. The winner is very, very important. It's time to hang on!
Dinner Plate variety. The pictures on the blog are a bit old today. Winter just now isn't very pretty right now. Or perhaps I just can't fine the pretty. It's a challenge perhaps for me to conquer. I'll think about doing that for a while.
And yes...Prayers for Minnesota, having long time ago church friends now residing in Minneapolis.
I remember being in second grade! Mrs Albertson was my teacher. She was great. Except jfk was killed.
