Tuesday
Sweet camping memories. Still memories but without the old folks for the first time ever. Sad.
So, what happened today. Almost the same old same old and Jared would say. Almost is the word. Today was the second PT. Before that happened, it was the same old stuff. Breakfast, a little paper, and knitting until my hand went to sleep again. Just my hand. The whole-body thing happened later. When just the hand, it's time to stop for a while until it wakes up and takes a break. My break consisted of sewing some burps until it was time for the drive to PT.
Flamingos, I saw many of the real ones on a lake in Kenya. They looked a bit different. Then it was off to see Michael and Daren. Daren is the one in training and he conducted everything with Michael alongside. All was about balance. The toys that were available to help with balance were just great. That is if one didn't count the times this body didn't comply as it should have. The time went fast and there was no new homework but just continue the four assignments given the first week. While waiting for the session to start I had to giggle with a few funny looks coming my way. Why? I brought my cane since I flunked the not needing a cane test last week. But I forgot it in the car. Dah! So, I retrieved it quickly before M and D appeared and got a good lesson on how to use it.
I don't have a clue where this picture came from but I know it's the C Cactus. It could be a Thanksgiving Cactus. Let's just say it's a Cactus.Last year I did some PT for another problem with a great PT understanding therapist Ro at another location. There she was sitting in the office this morning. So sweet and understanding I would say about her. We had a nice little reunion.
Then I was off to two different Goodwill's looking for flannel sheets. They just don't exist anymore. There is a lot of fleece but much harder to work with. My burps may be coming to a slow end. I'll need to talk to Ginny about this new development.
PT is shaping me up for another summer of fun in the garden. I'm ready. The garden isn't!Back home again for lunch and then came another long sleep. I'm wondering if it's part of some medication I'm taking. Maybe if I should read the accompany papers that are with my meds. You think?I did my usual afternoon protein drink with a little added strawberries and yogurt. More protein. I'm trying hard to maintain weight. If I do diabetic treatment, one stick a week continues with Mounjaro which can also reduce weight. If the protein works with maintenance, I can avoid a daily stick of insulin. Yikes. Yes, another different balancing act.
Waiting! That's O K with me. There is always something nice to have on the back burner.I spent some time at the Y with some NuStep time after the treadmill. And of course, the music played from the iPhone. This time Mary McDonald's Gloria, some of which the choir sand Sunday. It's an exciting piece of work. Mary doesn't disappoint. Then there was a little Bach to end the session. I was tired.
Supper came and with all the happenings today, a quiet evening will button the day up. I would say the same old same old with a whole lot of basketball tonight. IU is playing Mich. State but not televised. The biggie is undefeated for a long time Neb. and Oregon.
