Wednesday
The deer found these last summer. We saw no flowers and few leaves.
Today was an almost opposite day of sitting on the chair. There was a little of that but not much. But of course, my eyes opened around 7:30. Whoopee! So, there was breakfast, paper retrieving coffee with Mika and friends and a few other things.
I thought I'd throw this in for a memory of a wonderful, delightful pet, no longer with us. He was a joy in so many ways. Dear Wyatt. His chair now sits on our patio in the summer. There is talk of a standard poodle moving in again with the Mi. family at a date yet to be determined. Then another scarf was finished, and the beginning of a new one happened. I moved to the sewing machine and got some burp fabric ready for sewing. It would be the last bit of flannel fabric in the stash which got me thinking. There was a Goodwill on Michigan Rd, just south of 86 street I hadn't check in a long time. They never have disappointed. So, a car trip was made near noon time and the store stayed in the never disappointed box once again. In fact, there were more than a few flannels. It was hard to decide, and I walked out with 5 flannels and one brown plaid sheet. Yes...I didn't just walk; I paid for them. The bill was bigger than I would have liked but the descriptive word will be LOTS of burps. I left flannels hanging for someone else to buy. Maybe me? It took more than a few minutes deciding what to take and what to leave. We're in the process of washing fabric now. There were three white twins, one green double and a King with many, many dogs.
Now isn't this cute fabric. The brown plaid will be the back side of the burp.
I stopped at another store but found nothing again. On the way home there was a drug pick up for Doug and more questions about "where is my medicine!" Tomorrow, tomorrow. I hope so. And arriving back home it was almost mid-afternoon. Not quit but almost.
I worked more on the 30 burps from the morning, trimming them ready for turning right side out. Then more sewing machine work tomorrow and 30 will be added to the next 100 stash at some point. I took a break and spent about an hour at the Y on the tread and nu step. The music was Schubert. Another Nora Goodwill stop, finding something to use with green flannel. Supper came along and then it was blog time. So, I would say the day was chuck full of stuff. Maybe too full.
Tonight, I'll be on the green chair with a lot of burp handwork and of course knitting...if there's time. A good day and one that will be followed tomorrow with less busy and more sitting. Two days in a row like today are killers. I learned that lesson years ago.
