Monday
Woo. What a day. Way to much stuff happens when it's 70 degrees or more outside. Not everything but a lot of things. I'm sitting in front of the fan to write today's blog. Woo. It's hot.
The morning started and I jumped right into the start with knitting and the news. I paid more attention to the knitting which was a good thing. The garden walk happened and then it was Living Strong Time arriving a few minutes late. Today's session was all about protein. Where it is and how much do we need and the necessary things it does for our bodies. Our ailing bodies probably need more than we think. I left before the session was over with all the handouts which were pretty good.
Off to church to think about Palm Sunday visuals. This year the story comes from Matthew. The ideas were in my head, but I wanted to get them before my eyes. I'm a work ahead work-a-holic. Two hours' worth of time got me to a pretty good place. I also got some organizing completed, meaning things used a few months ago were back in their space until needed again. All is in place with the exception of the crown of thorns. I have time to work on that.
I went through some fabric containers and made some decisions about unused donated stuff that was taking up valuable space. There is room for two more fabric tubs and so there will be reorganizing. Yikes. Somethings never end.
Jesus and the Temple money changers and sacrificial dove sellers.I presented some bills again and was on the way home at 2 PM. Tired but happy.
I stepped out on to the patio and knew that the place I needed to be was in the garden. Some tools came out along with the garden cart and I started in the herb garden. I lost a bunch of lemon thyme this year. It was old and heavy. It was time to go. The bed got a good raking. Then it was on to the holly hock, black eyed Susan and day lilies beds. Creeping Charley thought it was his bed but nope. He needed to leave. The H H's look great. I covered them again hiding them from the deer. They think I planted H H's for their desert.
There are three nice clumps in the garden with another patch by the patio still to uncover. Fingers crossed says this gardener. It was time to quit so I did. In the spring a little bit of work goes a long way until I get my feet under me. With a lot of cold drinking water and a shower I was ready for the big visit at McAlister's and the North Church group. I double booked. I'm going by myself and Doug is coming later. I volunteered the opposite, but Doug changed that saying I would have more time to visit. Yes...I talk and visit a whole lot. That is the truth as Edith Ann would say. Most of these folks I saw yesterday but there always is more to say.
Supper out was good and Doug appeared sooner than I thought he would. There was a lot of funny stuff as usual shared. Jennifer was here from Washington State with her brother Derek who is currently a resident of Switzerland visiting Rita and Bob. And stories were flying everywhere from Montana to Michigan as well as Ohio and Indiana. Our group has a retired Montana cattle farmer.
It was good to get home early enough to see daylight still from our windows. I would vote for D.S.Time if it were something on the voting block.
There will be more knitting tonight. Tomorrow, there will be Y time along with garden time. I must pace myself in order to be alive by evening. Fingers crossed. No, my body will tell me to stop. I will listen.
