Saturday
Up and ready for the day. That meant that I was on the road by 8 on the way to church. Another Saturday getting things in place, ready for the crew to complete with the goal of an 11:00 meal for the community folks. The discovery of all 6 pans of food frozen solid was not a good find but given time we persevered with getting everything ready for a good meal as well as providing food to take home. We had time to sit and visit which is always a good thing.
I was the main dish washer today and that felt like a nice safe place to be. When there were times to take a break, I worked on the last few visuals for the Palm Sunday service. All is ready for the service. I need to ask some questions about the parade that happens around the block of the church. Then we're really ready.
Then home for lunch. There was the usual NAP that goes with this kind of Saturday that always tuckers me out. That happened during some very good basketball. The first BIG Ten game of Wisconsin and Michigan with Michigan winning with Wisconsin right on their heels for most of the game. A Protein helped a lot for many reasons.
The second game of the afternoon was Purdue and UCLA. Woo. Purdue gave UCLA a great run. I thought UC would be all over Purdue. That didn't happen. Surprise! Surprise!
Knitting got a bit easier with more rows completed and I could easily see what I was doing. No mistakes happened. Woo. I'm on my way now with smaller needles. The goal is to make a wearable hat.
And an even better part of the evening happened with there was a phone visit with Jared and Kimmy. They sent pictures of Arnie Bentley Russell showing off how smart he is. Fun, fun. They continue to be very busy with pottery making, having what will be record pottery sales so far this year.
Basketball continued through the evening even if it wasn't the BIG Ten now almost Twenty.
Another good day. There have been many.
