Sunday
Altar flowers honoring a member's birthday.
The day has been super slow. That happens when the previous night just didn't work very well. Way too many things from Saturday was taking space in my brain leading to about three hours of sleep. I hate it when that happens. A few Saturday things need to be fixed. Until that happens I need to keep the brain space available for sleep. Right? Agree? I hope so.
Church day and we were on our way south again arriving in time to hear the choir rehearsal. My goodness. Thay had a tough anthem. It was Rheinberger's Agnus Dei. The first part is easy. The second part hard as nails. And true to form the choir peaked at the right time during the second service. Good for them. It was beautiful. I sang from the pew right along with them in a way only I heard.
Time to put the finishing touches on the music before the 11:00 service. The choir loft was as full as it could get. I think they all were there to help each other. I remember those days.It was Communion Sunday. Andrew served communion at one of the stations. What a great kid wanting to be a part of North on his spring break. Eric and Kat took him back to school in the afternoon and we waited at church until Noah was finished with handbell practice taking him home. Two great grandsons living nearby.
This afternoon was slow and easy with Mozart's Requiem on my mind performed at St. Paul's Episcopal church. I should have known I would fall asleep in the chair and missed the chance to hear it. That was a bummer. But there were other things happening. Some good some not so good. Purdue lost to Ohio State and I U did the same with Michigan State. But, on the plus side since it's the first Sunday of the month with another family zoom meeting.. So, I take what I can get. And it's good.
The week looks pretty good with NOTHING on the calendar. Now that's a very good thing. I might be thinking gardening. It's supposed to rain every day, so I'll be thinking I'm sure and not doing much of anything outside. That should give me a little rest which isn't a bad thing. I'll spend some time looking for my already purchased seeds. Parsley and lettuce might find a garden spot. They are early crops. This early? Not quite sure of that.
