Thursday
So far, it's been a day full of fun things. I will admit it doesn't take much to entertain me. A little goes a long way.
A beautiful late afternoon in March with the sky so blue and the maple tree whispering it's spring. I can show you the evidence. A big thank you to the tree.Tooth bush time as usual. Breakfast as usual. Paper as usual. Gray clouds as usual. So, you see it was the usual morning. Well, sort of. The knock at the door at 9 told us the Isley man was here to fix the toilet. That was a bit unusual. Next, I was off to H.L. to get a small grapevine wreath. Somehow our church crown of thorns got pitched. Or we just can't find it and I'm usually pretty careful with it. The thorns are lethal. So, we have the crown but right now not the thorns. We need a locust tree. We have one but the thorns are high in the tree according to Doug. I know I can't reach them.
I collected all the stuff I was taking to the Y and was on my way. I spent about 20 minutes with Living Strong and then was off to see Angie and the Strengthening Class. We did a lot of work and also did a lot of laughing. Neighbor Diane was my pardoner. We did too much talking, this time about birds so Angie reminded us, talking was just fine but we needed to remember to do strengthening stuff. So, we made a good attempt at that also. One needs to listen to Angie. Angie's birthday was today and we sang H B to her. It was a fun 45 minute time.
And the sun is competing for a good word. I would say the sun ties with the sky in making things new. It's that magical 5:30 hour.A 30-minute break came, and I did the NuStep and then it was on to M. Arts and Chris and Evelyn. More laughing and more doing. It's so much fun to be with happy, happy people. What jokesters we have become. By the end of the class, it was 1:40 pm again. That's a lot of time at the Y but it was worth it. The next two weeks are busy at other places for me, and I'll miss my new friends.
Home and lunch and then I did what I call the unthinkable. That came about because the hat I was working on wasn't doing what it should. I tore it apart right down to the last stitch starting over for the third time with smaller needles. It was becoming way too big and way to heavy. I would not have worn it once. So...live and learn.
Once almost a hat. For now...a ball. I think I know how to live but learning still needs practice.I did a garden walk, but the surprise was that the temps were lower than what I expected even with the sun shining. The door was open to the north. Sometimes Jared forgets to shut doors in Michigan.
Pussy Willows. There are not many things I like more than these spring things.I got another day. There have been so many I got days and gratitude once again is the word. There are not many other words that describe how I feel when thinking gratitude and what it implies.
