Tuesday

Today, we're starting inside looking at a bloom on the Thanksgiving Cactus.  Or so a friend gave it that name when gifting to me.  I think for this year it missed Thanksgiving.  Should I share that with T C.?

A busy day.  I like that.  It makes me keep up.  Last night's sleep was one of a kind on the good side.  It was daylight when I woke.  That doesn't happen very often.  The morning stuff happened and after a short morning of sitting I was off to the Y.

I hit the garden path and passed by  one of many wine-colored Lenten Rose. I think it was shivering.  It will survive even though it's complaining.

I've joined Angie's class for the month.  Woo. She is one teacher who makes her students work.  The new routine for the month was explained and once again Chris and I were pardoners.  I need him to remind me what and how to do things.  The guarantee for this month is to feel pain where it once wasn't strengthening muscles.  I've always heard no pain, no gain.  Muscles in 6 places get a workout in the 45 minutes we were with Angie.  That's the goal and I'm sure that will happen. The class went a little long so the break between Angie's class and Chris' Martial Arts class was a bit short.

I checked on the Hens and Chickens.  They came through the winter in great shape hidden under leaves and chicken wire.  Last year with no protection they got chewed to bits by the winter animals. I won!

So I climbed to the second floor for the next class that also went a bit long.  But talk about interesting.  I can't say enough about the deep knowledge Chris has about Japanese and Korean Martial Arts.  And the history that is shared during break time is sooooo interesting.

I passed by the blue bird house.  It took a hit.  It would seem some woodpecker needed a warm place to stay during the winter.  I think I lost this one.  There are B Bird houses in the garage for replacement.

So, when all was said and done for Y time the drive through the cold dreary rain told me it was March for sure.

As I passed the pussy willow bushes of which there are two, it would seem the deer have been visitors during the winter months.  Yes, there are always deer tracks, but the bushes took a hit.  Oh well.  They were here first.  Some things you win, some things you don't.  There are more branches so it's a little of both this year.

There was lunch at almost 2 PM followed by chair time and you guessed it.  NAP time.  That followed with some supper preparation.  Then followed with a walk in the garden with the rain taking a break.  There is a definite change in the air but one needs to know where to look. And I found it.  Spring develops slowly when the rain is cold and the days are not accompanied with sun.  I would say that gives one time to think.  I just hope the thinking part doesn't run dry.

And remember that rock project?  We received a wonderful thank you from Janell Guyman who brought this important ministry to cancer patients as they enter and exit the hospital for treatment. Blessings on this important place for healing.
