Sunday

It's been a wonderful different unusual Sunday that comes along perhaps once in a life time.

Cooler weather brings long life to this blooming dogwood tree.                                                                              It's a beautiful sight out my kitchen window.

We took Noah to church.  His parents visited brother Andrew at Goshen College.  They chose to return to Carmel later this morning.  We also took Noah home again after his bell practice rehearsal and for us the completion of the afternoon lecture at church.

Today the theme at church was diversity.  Diversity that comes from those who bring autism to the church community.  There was a unbelievable well preached sermon by a United Church of Christ local minister who lives in a body steeped in the diversity of a prescription controlled mental illness.  There was a catered lunch and then another good well spoken speaker on the spectrum of autism who is currently a English college professor.  So much information shared I will be thinking about for a long time and not often heard about in a church setting.  Good clear information shared by those on the spectrum living successful lives sharing how autism feels and works. This all happened in the Hamilton Series Sunday lectures occurring two times a year.

Sweet Woodruff.  A beautiful in control ground cover.  There is never too much of this. I can't forget the Ginger and Hosta on either side of SW.

There was time at home for two hours and then I was back on the road visiting a great art show presented by Teresa Altemeyer a good friend and former member at North.

It's been a busy different Sunday from morning to evening.  The weather remains a bit chilly and after tonight it should be warming up again.  I'm ready and hopefully the weather lady might agree. So far the plants seem to be doing just fine loving cooler temps that puts them in a holding pattern.

Another pretty combination. Money Plant/Solomon Seal.

So that was the day.  Just two big chunks that filled a whole lot of hours, the former with a lot of information useable in a church setting when welcoming the stranger. There is a seat at the table for ALL.  Let it be so.
