Tuesday
Let's start with blue bells and bleeding hearts. A great combination blooming at the same time. One never goes wrong with this early combination. Waiting for germination. I might need to do another try.
Another good night of rest. Someone must be praying for that to happen. Maybe me! So as usual the coffee cup went with me to the garden after the teeth were brushed, hearing aids in, sugar reading and blood pressure done, glasses on, breakfast eaten and more. I guess all of that an more helped me to wake up.
The garden walk told me the assignments were a bit long. So what to do? I counted 4 snapdragons that made it through the winter so they got transplanted to where the barn foundations cause problems for bigger rooting things. The milkweed is exploding in the garden with some even coming up in the lawn. The hens and chicks got a good look and it was time for the chicks to move on to eventually becoming hens. That happened after another plant was relocated after having moved in sometime last fall. The chicks got a new playground connected to the hen house. The hen assignment ... make more chicks. At least that's the plan. I have faith they will produce.
I moved on to a flower bed that I hope will hold dahlias this summer. There is a stone path now cleared and cleaned with a few transplanted Jenny's near by softening the stone look.
I have been itching to move the pond liner to the Noah hole that is covered during the winter. That happened and the liner is filled with water. There always an issue about getting the liner level. I would say a good score happened again as it did last year. The bubbler has been set up and the pond now is covered with a screen to keep out all the junk flying around for a while. Healthy pond plants from Rosie's will be added later.
Bubbling away, happy as always. I left the screen on as you can see. That should frustrate the deer.At some point lunch happened along with a power drink. After about 30 minutes of sitting I was out again with the rake finding more stuff to contribute to the B Blues. And Yes...once again there will be three full B Blues at the road tonight for the B B Truck tomorrow.
I did some watering. We are looking for rain. The parsley is coming along but one almost needs a magnifying glass to see the tiny starts. That's just the way parsley is. It's a patience maker. (up date...it's raining a lot at 8 pm. You hoo!)
The weed killer found a place to act. Wild strawberries are a weed to me. They are moisture takers and huge spreaders taking over in a big way.
At noon I got a welcomed phone call that the Kisqali is on the way for another month of treatment. This is my week off of medication and a blood test Monday should sent me the message that I'm good to go again for another month. What a blessing. Only twice was that not the case with an extra off week. The medication was reduced producing the success we needed.
I also got a reminder that I declined to sign up for another 12 weeks of Living Strong. It's a Y program for people experiencing cancer. Summer is such a busy time of outdoor exercise. Whenever I can I'll just visit the Y and do what I usually do. I'll miss the ladies and Craig. There may be a fall rejoining.
Around 3pm it was time to cool off. The blog was started because I often forgot what happened so long ago in the morning. Is that brain fog. I think not. But maybe! Call it what you want.
