Wednesday
A beautiful perennial geranium from the church plant swap. It lives in many spots in the garden.
Another interesting day. That seems to be the theme these days. Nothing boring, nothing gained. So I want gained so boring keeps the crazy days balanced. I guess.
Up early with the usuals as usual. There was the walk in the garden to choose the job for the day. I decided on edging. So I started. That meant moving all the Superior rocks and clearing the bed they lay on pulling weeds hiding around and under them so to speak.
It's a job that happens two or three times a summer. Before the rocks returned to their resting place the area under them was preened. That is when I remembered to do that. It seems to make a difference and todays work will test that theory. The total for the day was one big bed and another smaller bed 3/4 finished. I just wore out big time. Tomorrow, tomorrow. That is if the rain predicted for today and didn't come arrives tomorrow.
Last night I came to realize that one leg compared to the other looked like the little fat dough boy. What in the world was going on. This morning the two legs matched but I called my go to girl Julie for a road map. She ordered a ultra sound which happened at noon thinking perhaps blood clot. I think that's a starting point and it was a strike out for blood clot. I'll probably hear tomorrow what the next step if any will be. It was a quick trip to IU North that lasted about an hour at the most. Super quick and easy. And then on to what ever the next step if any is. Maybe I was working to hard in the garden. Who knows for now.
Pretty little ornamental strawberry showing off. It's doing what it needs to do.The rest of the day included a much needed sleep. I was zonked out for sure and blessed to be able to do that with no other responsibilities. Doug worked on some bushes again. I cleaned and refilled all the bird feeders. New nectar for the hummingbirds and the unseen Orioles got a redo.. I got so excited when I thought I saw an Oriole. only to realize it was a cardinal. I'm not colorblind, just a bit jumpy with colors today.
