Monday

The morning started with the usual monthly blood work that tells me yes or no about restarting the cancer medication.  It's three weeks on with pills and one week off.  Blood work and then the results appears.  Today the results indicated that my white count is at a critically low point.  That happened a year ago last May.  What is May thinking.  She could do better.  So I'll wait another week for another blood test.  Is the Lion chasing me.  (Yesterday's sermon)  I think not, so far.  Thanks you Jill for your Sunday words.  I didn't know how soon they would fill space in my mind.

Then it was off to church meeting four good friends.  It's getting ready for Pentecost Sunday.  It's my MOST favorite Sunday of the church year.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. The coming of the Holy Spirit and the birthday of the church. There isn't anything much better than a birth day.

Hanging across the balcony are doves and flames in random order.

The church is clothed in red in almost ever nook and cranny.  What fun and so pretty. The stone that is found in the sanctuary is a wonderful background for all the red.  We managed to find new ways of decorating with Doris talking to us in our memory banks...KEEP IT FRESH remembering how we heard those words so often when she was leading us.  We're ready to celebrate next Sunday.  Some things will stay up for a while and others will be packed away and some things will be added for Pride month.

On the way to the balcony more doves resting on Curley Willow branches, a gift of the Warbintons. Fabric of flame colors and all backed with a banner stitched with many flames set over the cross. The trinity symbol is in the middle of the flame.
It was a fun morning of work.

The afternoon was spent home on the ranch with more flowers finding their resting place.  We were chased inside by thunder and approaching rain but 35 holes were filled with zinnias in the far butterfly bed.  Close to 15 more zinnias to go.  Three more Dahlias found a home with a few more waiting. And more transplanting needs to happen with Pot Marigolds appearing this week from seeds planted.  Finally, some zinnias appeared but so small they probably wouldn't bloom till Sept. So little by little planting will come to an end one of these days.  How boring it will be.  But I think my body will be very happy.  We need a few more stakes for the Dahlias and maybe a few for me.

Their location is more high and dry.  The shower was a pleasant event for them.

A major rain storm happened with more promised for tomorrow.  It's a huge system as all of you probably realize. It's a big one.

What a mess. The prayer is that no plants drown.

Supper was a delicious garden salad.  I never get tired of them.  Doug has never complained about anything I've put on the table except...Posta.  We Ubered Eric home.  No one rides a bike in this weather. The chair was reserved for the evening hours.  It was a very good day.  I am grateful for many things.  But especially the LION TAMER who controls the lion. Thank you again, Jill. This visual learner appreciates the visual words.
