Tuesday
Up early ready for the day. I spent a little time in the garden seeing what survived the gusher last night. All seemed to be up and ready for the day just like me. I did a little messing around but stayed clean for the heart doc appointment. Nothing has changed and I appreciated those words.
Kimmy sent this picture of the pussy willow fence. It's a living fence growing in her garden. The pussywillows came from our yard. My fence is not so fancy. Then I was off to the Tractor Supply Store in Westfield for more dahlia stakes. I picked up a pink and yellow canna. I think a few more canna are coming from the same last year's source. If not that's fine as well. The gardens are filling up but I can always fine more room.
The afternoon was spent with the shovel doing more of the same as you all know. I started working on an old path of many years trying out something I saw in one of the garden library books. It won't be the same but sort of my version.
Clearing the ground of grass and planting thyme and succulents and more between the stones. There is a long way to go. I'm going to fill some spaces with flowers.More dahlias were planted with 3 and maybe 4 to go. They will go in the butterfly garden. No room in the dahlia bed.
This afternoon's rain on soaked ground after yesterdays soaking. Doesn't look good.Another rain dumped at the end of the afternoon. Another great salad for supper with freshly cut lettuce. Then Doug did the Uber thing. I stayed home to do the blog and REST! Another busy afternoon getting closer to the end of planting. Oh, yes. I started the day planting radish seeds. It's a spring cool weather thing. I almost missed it. Maybe I did. I checked the sunflowers. A few are showing green and I added more seeds. I have plenty that have germinated.
In the evening Stella and I took the rest of the hrt, omsyrf dunflower seeds to some neighbors interested in flowers. They all have high fences that will protect delicious sunflowers from deer. Thinking ahead.
The good days are adding up. There is always something to rest my mind on that keeps me in the right place. Next Monday is on my mind. Another blood test praying for positive results. The Lion teamer is at work.
