Tuesday, the day that follows Monday for ever.  It was a good day with proof of being tired in the evening.  The morning was pretty easy with garden walks and the decision to get the tomatoes and peppers in the ground for sure.  I had good adding stuff from last year so it was an easy go.

            Once it was only blue.  Then yellow came along. I saw pink at Lowe's this week. Hybridizing!

But before that happened I was off to see my CPap Machine doctor Yung. We had a fairly good session until it came to a question...Are you taking iron pills.  Well, no.  They were prescribed a few years back but I decided after a couple of iron years I didn't want them.  There are some new alternatives and so we're perusing iron again.  Yes...I'm anemic.  I knew that. That visit took care of the morning since she was running late.

Then after lunch planting started.  It was hot and I felt totally wiped out after three tomato plants were in the ground.  Brake time came about and then I was on to the peppers.  Four peppers did the same as three tomatoes.

I changed into slow gear which brought on a sleep with the TV talking to someone else.  Kathy O and cousin drove in and a beautiful Dahlia was delivered.  The hope is that it will be planted tonight.  The first of many planted all in one bed.  I've named the spot Dahlia Cove.  I spent some time but not enough yet, making labels for a few things to attach to wiring.  

                It's impressive that Jack is still with us.  Cool and wet must be one of the reasons.

Supper was on the patio and I'm happy to say the day was full and I'm happy to say I'm tired for many good reasons.  More basketball tonight and I'm nearing just nearing the end of the Cancer Code.  Interesting reading for me. I'm ready for more books. 

        The big Mr. joined us this morning.  I moved the suet. He was quite incensed unable to locate it                                                              until other birds pointed the way.

 Back home again in Indiana.  That's where we were arriving late afternoon yesterday after a wonderful time with Jared, Kimmy and the grandsons adding Kimmy's many relatives to our visit.  It was just what I needed.                                                         Happy times but good grief.  What's with the hair, girl?      We arrived late at the Jared/Kimmy Russell home Thursday afternoon again rediscovering family again along with many free-range chickens, three cats, joe, the horse, three ducks four ewes and Eli's sheep for this year's 4-H entry.  Numerous goldfish would join us later in the week.       This is Eli's friend Hope holding renamed Barb because her nest was found hidden in the rhubarb.             ...

 With a good sleep to start the day, I was ready for whatever would come my way.  So, it was breakfast, the paper, a garden walk and more.  And there was a whole lot more.                                Th ese wood chips brighten my day.  A super reuse of a wonderful old friend. I was off to Quilt Quarters for yellow and green batik to add to the stole making.  And the morning was spent with the fabric cutter and the sewing machine.  I was on a roll but there were other plans for at least part of the morning.  A neighbor's tree down the road fell on the power lines and the electricity was no more.  So that meant the sewing machine didn't work.  It isn't the treadle type machine, you know. So, I did what I could meaning cutting more fabric for a bit .                        ...

Red sails in the morning, Sailors take warning.   The warning sign was miss thinking about a wonderful day with a gorgeous sunrise, but it turned into anything but wonderful. And after yesterday's blog entry, what was hoped to be a good week had a dismal beginning.  Jared called to tell us that Sunday evening Wyatt, their beautiful red poodle stopped eating and by three in the morning of Monday as Jared was driving to Lancing to the Vet at Michigan State, Wyatt died.  Wyatt was one wonderful dog in every sense of the word.  Smart, friendly, protective with absolute understanding about so many things.  Today and the days ahead will be days of mourning eventually becoming times of reflections about all the good that Wyatt brought to us.  His camping chair is now sitting in our living room reminding us of that goodness he gifted us.  After hearing about this event, I took a walk outside to clear my head and heart and found the first of many crocus bl...
