Wednesday

Thyme, winter savory, sage, tarragon and a whole lot more emerging.  I'll add standing water today. ]

The week is speeding along.  The speed seems to be faster these days for what ever reason.  Go figure. Today was another dank day but rain is over for now.  There was another round during the early morning that really soaked everything to the tenth degree or more.  Water standing is not a good thing usually.  I walked the walk and quickly ended up with wet feet.  So I stopped that until I found weeds. There were some pictures taken with the early morning sun that is just beautiful when rain drops are still around.

Early hours are such good gift givers.

I did a lot of bird watching and telling the Starlings to leave.  I tried a few new defenses over the suet but as usual, nothing worked.

Another swap Iris from Nicci and Paul, great choir friends.

Doug got a hair cut or I should say a beard cut.  There is not much on top but there is a lot under his bottom lip.  Then I got the car and was off to the tent.  State Fair zinnias came home along with three more Curry plants that get two feet tall.  I'm designating them as deer guards.  They are really smelly but nice smelly.  I hope the deer don't like them. Then there are the seven Lantana.  Such hardy plants that LOVE the heat.  Speaking of heat...we could use some.

I cleaned a spot in the garage to hold the plants till the ground is ready and it's a bit warmer.

While out getting plants I picked up a cute little weather vane to add to the fairy collection of things.  That meant it was time to pull everything out from last years collection.

I'm having a lot of fun putting this together and now I need a place to put it.                      I'm hoping the squirrels leave it along.
