Thursday

Thursday began with the realization this was a day that needed nothing to happen.  So that's what I did from time to time.  NOTHING.  Those days come along every once in a while.  Today was a once...

Something unusual is going to happen.

A few years ago, well quite a few years depending on who is talking,  June 4 was a very exciting day when the first baby for the Russell household was delivered.  Happy Birthday, Eric.  You have been a blessing.

I sat on the patio listening to the birds along with hammers pounding putting together a deck that was splintered by a tree falling at the neighbors.  There was the noise of a big truck going in reverse unloading another load of tree clippings at another neighbor's house.  So, the morning had some unplanned by me additional interesting moments.

Origionally this came from the garden of Doug's father.  It moved here, then to Michigan and then back again.  I call it a family plant.  This time it's landed in the sun where it wants to be.

The garden walk assured me that all was well.  I do remember from my Dahlia friends that Dahlia's like water so all of them got another drink.  They are looking handsome to this gardener.  A few other things were watered mostly those planted from seed.  I want them to succeed at all costs.  Water is one of the most important costs.  I did a bit of fluffing.  Just barely a bit but a bit! Things are filling up and that's the plan for this year.  The fuller the better.  Well, we'll see what the summer brings.

Then it was back to the patio.  Eventual, I did some TV which wasn't enlightening so I surfed the options. I found the best nature channel so that's going to be my go-to place for real entertainment.

This little Shamrock was on its way to plant heaven.  Not anymore.  It's singing a happy song.

I made a phone call leaving a message to my great all day Wednesday friend.  Later in the afternoon I learned that she is in Community North Hospital.  That is not good news. I'm waiting to hear what comes next. I would guess there was too much busy on her plate yesterday for her already compromised body to digest.

The afternoon was a time to check in to the chair.  And sleep happened more than once.  I might admit that yesterday also did me in although my ending was the chair and not the hospital.  I had a long talk with Joy, another Living Strong Friend about our Wed. friend.  Joy was going to finish this morning what we couldn't finish yesterday.  That didn't happen.  With so much sleep the afternoon flew by and supper with another delicious garden salad happened.

I'm looking forward tonight to a Fever game.  The first one I've been on top of to see.  Once again its been what seems to be a lazy day.  But I'll take it.  There are always enough of the other kind.  Sometimes to many of them.  Lazy isn't bad.  .
