Wednesday
When walking the garden tonight, you will realize I picked different flower colors to photograph.
WHERE SHOULD I START! Yes, all capital letters. It was a day like none other. Really, not even close to something close to familiar. Well, maybe. No not maybe. So, where should I start?
As you might have remembered, there is a class at the Y for folks with cancer. I was invited to be a part of that group. And I was. I'm taking a break now for the next 12 week program but will probably attend in the winter. One of the members is from Trinidad. She has 3 children, none of which live in the area. One is in Tenn. One in UK and I think maybe the third is in Canada. She is looking forward to Cataract Surgery in a few weeks. Currently, she is receiving treatment for active cancer. I volunteered to do some driving for her. Today was the day and Uber Lela was on the road to many places for many reasons. We spent some time here for her to do some mid-day recuperation sleeping on the couch and having lunch with Doug and I. and then it was on the road again with Ro as I will call her. I left home at 10am and returned at almost 7pm. It was a wonderful day of being together laughing at ourselves and others. She was looking forward to Tylenol tonight. I told her to have a glass of wine. We visited three different banks and shopped at Walmart. There were CVS stops and Kroger stops. We made a stop at IU North to see the rock collection and meet the desk folks. We missed Kathy.
Talk about covering territory. Ro lives east and south of Fort Ben but loves the Nora area where all the banks are located. So. we were east and south east then north around the Indianapolis area. Woo. a different kind of day and one to remember for a very long time. And probably one the Uber lady will not to repeat for a while.
I passed by Nicky and Paul G's house more than once and finally stopped in with a good made-up story about expecting to be served supper when I pulled in. Bummer...they were not home. I'll save that for another time. Nicky was my church choir buddy for many years.
So today you will hear nothing about garden work. It survived well without me although during the evening walk I promised a little drink TOMORROW, TOMORROW, I'LL WATER YOU TOMORROW.
The rest of the evening I'll be taking care of the Uber Lady! Well, what is left of the evening. Call me Tuckered tonight.
Dear Tuckered, The flowers are gorgeous. . .
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed. I love these flowers! (And I don't know why I have become anonymous, but apparently that is what I am.)
