Wednesday

More baby pink Holly Hocks.  I'm thrilled to have them.

Today was a quiet day.  I checked the garden this morning and the last night rain was another beater enjoyed by most but not by all.  I did some clover pulling but not much.  The morning was sticky and I knew heat was on the way which proved to be correct.

Cucumber plants thrilled to have the rain.  They seemed to have doubled in size these last two days.

I hung up my CPap machine very early because the nose piece came loose and I was to lazy/sleepy to insert another  before falling back asleep.  The lack of that extra sleep support proved to be my undoing.  Today I made sure the CPap machine is ready for tonight.  A long pause in breathing just doesn't feel so good when that causes waking.

Sleep today filled in a lot of time going with the heat.  I made a trip to Aldi's with the basket full of mostly what fills me rather than Doug.  I'm a yogurt junky.  I never can get enough and it's keeping my sugar and weight levels at a wonderful place. That's a very good thing these days.

Tomatoes loosing their green color only to turn red one of these days. Flowers mean more tomatoes.

I made more inquiries about our friend Ramona's health and Rita and I will try to make a visit happen tomorrow afternoon at Community North Hospital.  Today marked a week since our all day travels together taking her to places she asked to visit.  Tomorrow marks a week she has been hospitalized.  I think both of her daughters are here in town now.

The lettuce would prefer a little shade these days.

So the day was pretty quiet.  No garden work because of wet hot conditions.  And the promise of more rain is there for a number of days.

A beautiful Hosta with thick leaves not loved by the deer.  They do love the flowers.

Tonight is another Knicks/Spurs game.  Tomorrow evening the Fever play.
