The day started with a walk through the garden once again feeling blessed with all that I have.  It's an interesting place that keeps me grounded.  Today I did a lot of looking although I did carry the clippers with me.  It was a pretty quiet working morning in the garden.   I found this blooming this morning.  It's always a great find when two flowers of different colors across the color wheel are blooming at the same time.  It's black-eyed Susans and Obedient Plant. Then I decided that it was time to do something so the flannel came out and I did a whole lot of ripping and pressing of fabric.  Another sheet or two and I'll be sewing the next hundred real soon.  All this before stuff really is part of the whole process. That took a couple of hours.                                           The sewing room go...

Sunday

Yes, another church day filled with emotions.  Today was Amy's last Sunday with us having served at North for almost 10 years.  Amy is moving on to her own church Grace UM Church in Billings, Montana.  A new adventure for her and for us attempting to fill that space as well.  The church attendance was wonderful. Amy planned the service preaching on the theme of the vine and the branch.  Well, done.  There was a reception after the first service and a dinner after the second.  There were three pews filled with Amy family from Lafayette, Indiana.  So, a sad morning and a happy morning.  Goodbyes are always like that. Amy needs to take this step, and we need to let her take it.  We skipped the dinner heading home for the afternoon.                                               A family heirloom cr...

Now isn't this a pretty combination of colors. Still a little sore today.  My brain said, "all was fixed". Then it said, "well maybe not."  It's NOT fixed yet when the hurt let me know the truth.  Funny how the brain works.  But we're closer to having some answers.  That part feels really good.  Not a good idea to fix something with no directions that will not include the correct outcome.  Don't hire that kind of handy man or woman. The wrong doctor directions are even worse.  I figured out why I was so wobbly yesterday. I didn't need a doctor for just using common sense. The sciatic nerve passes right under the incision that was made.  That area was numbed.  I think that included the nerve.  Dah.  No won...

A new journey.  Packing my bags is the worst.  At this point I don't exactly know what I need.                                               An old Easter Sunday picture of a few years ago.  They never get old.  Today's trip took us once again to Methodist.  10:25 was the witching time.  And we made the appointed time of 11:30 at the correct door.  And I was well taken care of.  More explanations were made answering all the questions I could muster.  Methodist has been so good to me.  The procedure started a bit late and we left the hospital at 4.  Enough tissue was harvested for Genomics testing as well as enough tissue for the Methodist I U hospital lab.  So from 3 to 5 working days should bring some answers.                  ...

Better night of sleep..not perfect but good enough for me.  I'll take it and be grateful.   Today I had some energy and that was another thing that was a gift. Currently it seems to be an every other day thing.  I spent some time texting with a new friend Hope.  I love that name.  She is one of Adam's friends.  I hope I can meet her when we go north the next time.                                                          I've tried to catch the pink veining in the hibiscus.   The clippers came out several times today with dead heading in mind and one big blue is filled.  The big blue season is on its way not far away.  I'd like to push it down the road a ways.  A good rain would help that happen.  It is very dry and I really don't want to water t...

Wednesday

Another garbage day and lawn day.  Two good Wednesday markers.   Those are the two big events I can always count on. We added the library and Eric made a contribution. Jared told his brother if he added one more event he would earn a set of steak knives.  Yes...there was a 4th bike accident.  This one resulted in a bent bike, sore wrist and knee.  No trip to the hospital but a medic did check him out.  Seems an uber was in a hurry and turned in front of him as he crossed the street riding in the cross walk.  Doug will get the details when meeting him at the bus tonight and taking Eric on his last leg of the trip home.  I had a crazy night with bed time at 10:30with no sleep on the horizon.  At 12:30 I got up again and messed around till 2:30.  Back to bed and awake again at 6:30 leading to a icky day.  So, I just did what I needed to do which was NOTHING! Thank goodness, I can do nothing easily.  We did do a run to t...

The morning I called the busy bee morning.  The afternoon was a sleeper.  I like both kinds.  There was a whole lot of doing the first half of the day.                                 The 4 O'clock were telling us to move out even thought it was only 10 AM.                                            I guess one could say it's 4 o'clock somewhere, Jimmy.  Or was that 5 o'clock, Jimmy? Doug was ready before I was, so we got started asap.  With his hat in hand, (he says the car won't start without his hat) we were off to get a haircut for me.  It's been a while.  Thank goodness there were no before pictures.  So, Mike got a visit with lots of talk and the snippers did its job.         ...
