Saturday.

Now isn't this a pretty combination of colors.

Still a little sore today.  My brain said, "all was fixed". Then it said, "well maybe not."  It's NOT fixed yet when the hurt let me know the truth.  Funny how the brain works.  But we're closer to having some answers.  That part feels really good.  Not a good idea to fix something with no directions that will not include the correct outcome.  Don't hire that kind of handy man or woman. The wrong doctor directions are even worse.  I figured out why I was so wobbly yesterday. I didn't need a doctor for just using common sense. The sciatic nerve passes right under the incision that was made.  That area was numbed.  I think that included the nerve.  Dah.  No wonder my leg didn't work. It's all in great shape today. I think I got to 4 after adding the right 2 and 2 on that one.

Another 4 come to think of it.  This time o'clock.

I took it really easy today following directions for most of the time.  I did clip a small container full of dead ferns.  I like ferns when they are green and NOT when they are burned up brown.  I filled some vases with flowers taking them to the neighbors for their afternoon party decorations.  We've been invited and will go later in the day.  It's another thank you gathering for Bill and Kathy's Fountains of Hope initiative.  Bill has installed many water purification systems in third world countries in the last 10 years.  It's a passion of his.

Just the prettiest Cup Plants blooming over the rainbow or something like that.

Last night I ended the evening watching the Fever play.  Gosh, they are fun to watch.  I watched a little afternoon football today with the Bears and the Bengals.  Tonight, the Colts play.  Fall is getting its act together with some darn good entertainment.  I HOPE!

And here's the first Aster showing up already.  Big BUMMER!

Doug took me on a field trip to Michigan Rd. Goodwill.  It's huge and always has something for me.  And this afternoon it didn't fail me again.  Flannel Sheets.  I brought two home.  I also tore some for more burps but there is more to do.  I imagine that sewing will slow a bit until we have this back/pelvic thing figured out. I would call it To Be Determined.

The two big brown pieces and the little green and white are today's purchase.

We ended the day visiting with folks at the Thank You gathering, renewing friendships we made last summer.  There was a brief shower with folks moving tables saving food.  It certainly didn't seem to dampen the event even though we were a bit wet.  After about a good three-minute shower things settled down again and the evening continued lasting until almost dark.  Then we took the short walk home and settled in with the Colts.
