Something really different.

The day started as it has started for all the days we have been camping.  Usually, the sky is really blue but it seems that the Canadian smoke was with us as well as a cool morning.  By the way, tonight is to be in the mid 50's.  The morning was spent with a book again and that went on into the early afternoon when our friends Judy and Gary stopped to see us.  We met them years ago while camping.  Judy is a green stone hunter.  She enjoys the hunt, has many unpolished stones and said that probably will stay that way.  They are from Sterling Heights, Michigan and we missed them last year.  They have a house her but are back and forth during the summer months.  We will have supper with them Sunday evening at their house.  The sun came out in the late afternoon and staying warm meant that one sat in the sun to read which I did. The different thing was to have fun in a kayak which I did.  Here's the proof.

Grandson Adam was swimming around in the water beside the kayak.  And of course, Wyatt thought he needed to be in the picture as well.  He just hops in by himself.  No encouragement is needed.  He sits like Washington crossing the Deleware.
Here are two hams, hamming it up.  Adam and Eli make me laugh every time I see this picture.  So thatis something different.  The weather continues to be cool like the U P of  Michigan can be  at times.  No rain last night as expected with a huge promise that tomorrow night will bring storms.  We'll see.  Being surrounded by trees and water and fresh air really supports Pure Michigan's theme for the state. I count it a blessing to once again be here resting, reading visiting, sleeping, and collecting myself to move on to what's ahead.

  1. Thermostat set at 70 up here on Bumbletown Hill. AC has been blowing cold air all week. Tonight there was warm air blowing out of the register! Crazy Keweenaw weather….love it!

Glad you are seeing Gary and Judy!
