Sunday, Sunday.

A necessary marker in the week.  Today has seen a few church services come to us through streaming.  It started with Sec. Presbyterian service at 9:30.  Christ Harvey is someone not to be missed with a powerful message every Sunday.  Yes Presbyterian, my brother's church.  Then it was on to North Un. Methodist at 11:00 and just completed another service at North, this time a memorial service honoring the life of Dick Hamilton, our minister for many, many years.  Several of our associate ministers through the years spoke along with David , Dick, and Anna Lee's oldest son.   A message concluded the service.  The Cathedral Singers were the music makers along with Anna Brisco who came all the way from Louisiana.  It was a wonderful reminder of Dicks ministry that was so lovingly executed for almost 30 years.  Dee asked about butterflies.  Well, a symbol of the resurrection.  So fitting for today's entry.  And I have pictures.

The Swallowtail loves to sit and pose for pictures.  We can find this gem in the garden every day after the sun is up for a while and the juices are flowing that creates lots of action to spot.

Now the Monarch is just a bit different.  There's lots of flying just about everywhere but sitting is not one of the characteristics that I can spot.  It's just up and about with what I suspect is the look at me.  I'm important and I'm beautiful.  .

I just think that flowers are covering the ground.  Rabbits and other small animals occupy that space also.  The insects are next with butterflies and bees, Then come small birds and the big ones use the space over them and the trees are there for their pleasure.  Now that is a plan that we are charged to take care of.

Doug continues well on the way to good health.  He is doing a lot of sleeping and I am making sure that eating small amounts happens about every 2 hrs.  He is very compliant.  We continue to be aware of Delta avoiding crowds.

My concern is that when safe happenings occur, we recognize them and become a part of that experience.  Currently, recognition is difficult.

So prayers of understanding in all that is a part of the world as we know it today.

  1. Thanks for the butterflies. They are beautiful and add a nice touch to your garden - and they are certainly benefiting from that juicy nectar. I'm glad Doug is doing so well.
