Mid afternoon Monday

It's time to sit a spell so I'm spelling while I sit.     I would say the morning was productive, rewarding, and refreshing.  Others might say not so.  The morning was spent with three other friends at church fixing, fluffing, and doing what one does when something looks tired and ready for a refreshing.

The west entrance has a change of banners and a large bulletin board filled with Kenya Umoja pictures.  The window outside the NW door to the sanctuary has Masi figures with more Umoja information.  It's Kenya time at North.  I always get on it when Kenya is mentioned.

The east narthex area has been decluttered.  My goodness.  That's happening just about everywhere people congregate either at home or abroad or church.

We did some Advent Christmas talking and know what items we will be using or think we will be using.

So the morning was very productive with words and actions but the person with the camera in her pocket forgot to use that camera.  What a bummer.  There are so many pretty places of interest.  One of these days you will see those places.

The expectations for the rest of the day include sitting on the rocker, napping, and perhaps a bit of knitting.  The wasted body has a mind full of the morning.  Full of yesterday's word focused on patience.  Being full of these things keeps me centered with the ability to move through the day.

So I leave you today with among other things a picture of soapstone hippos that are in the collection of decorating details for the Umoja thanksgiving dinner coming in early November this year.  The Umoja program provides necessities for school children whose families have been touched with HIV Aids. Necessities that will lead to a better life through the ability to attend school.   That will need to do until I have the ability to remember to take church pictures.

Fall grasses blooming.  They are late but lack of water this summer could have made that possible. The bluebird box is ready for next summer.  The house is a Jared/Kimmy Russell product and has been occupied every summer since it was available.

Cantoni Aster bushes are doing their best this fall.  I plan to add these to some altar arrangements this Saturday for Allison's wedding.  Should be fun since Allison has chosen the color burgundy.
