Sleepy Sunday.

 From my childhood days, I wondered why the adults always took naps Sunday afternoon.  Such a waste of time so I thought.  I guess I'm an adult.  This afternoon the waste of time and unexpected nap has occurred once again while sitting in the rocker.  I'm always surprised when I wake up.  Hadn't planned on that sleep, it just happens.  

Another church morning with great music and a sermon about being included in the family of God.  Football now happening but our dear Colts are sitting this one out.  They gave it their all which just didn't quite last long enough.  

It's a beautiful sunny afternoon but still a bit chili out.  Yesterday's check on those once beautiful?  green weeds now are exhibiting an even more beautiful dead color. Woo, woo.  The mealworms left for the morning Bluebird bunch have totally disappeared after checking the feeder on returning home from church.  They were here.  The highest number munching at the same time has been five.  They even have been hanging around their nesting boxes.  That's a great sign.  

This winter I continue to stew over the Christmas Cactus.  For 2022, the cactus has been named the MLK Cactus.  There are 7 buds looking like they might do something.  One is out in front of the others.  There was a very early bird bloom a couple of weeks ago.  So...I'll accept the cactus offering with grace continuing to think that this year's offering is a worthy one.  
There is always the thought that next year the gift will be a larger one.  In a few weeks, it will be time to cut this plant back giving it a jump start for spring growth.  I will do a better job making it a bit smaller as Kathy does every year.  I  was not very aggressive last spring.  Never fear...this year is here!!!! soon. Soon time to get her done.

    I am definitely an adult! Especially when I am sitting in my chair reading.

    It is COLD here with a travel advisory. No snow stuck from the "winter storm." And there MAY be ice on the road - so the governor is cautioning Georgians about driving this morning.

    I know, I know - you Hoosiers are laughing your heads off.

This time I hope I'm back for a very long time.  The computer with pictures is finally a go and all the excitement of Sunday is over.   I don't know if I've recovered yet.  There are a few more days before the next Sunday.   For those few who don't know it was another hospital stay of a couple of days.  And it all started in the pew at church with a pass out  seizure type of thing. I think something to do with high sugar perhaps.  The whole service came to a halt for a while.  How embarrassing with a carry out by the good old EMTS.   Lots of tests I guess.  I don't remember a thing until Sunday evening with a trip into a scan machine.  I got released Tuesday and today I visited my primary care doctor for answers and I'm pretty well satisfied.  Two days in bed have really made me wobbly so I'm pretty careful about moving around.  It should get better soon.  I won't be driving for a while because of the seizure.  That's a huge bummer.  The seizure medi

 A day that's been a little slow.  I guess that's OK now and then.   The morning included a yucky bird feeder clean out.  I got tired of looking at it and it was almost empty so there was my chance.  The blue bird was seen often and the pair of red bellied wood peckers enjoyed the suet.  I saw on facebook a guard that is easy to put together to keep sparrows out of the blue bird house.  It's worth a try made with wire and fishing filaments and fishing weights.  I need a wire cutter first.                                                                    For a while both Mr. and Mrs. were visiting.  Then it was to the sewing machine.  The day produced three bags.  I need to get the collection on their way to Michigan.  I made a couple for the Carmel grandsons.  The pace was slowed with a finger cut with the rotary cutter.  What a bleeder I produced.  I will say this is the first slash I gave myself in more than ? years of sewing.  I think it's time for a fresh dressing

Kimmy did it again.  She guided me to the spot where now there is a change made in the blog settings  allowing comments.  If you had a google account you could do that already.  At least  that's what I think I'm reading.  So comment away when you want to.  Will be fun.                             I'm looking forward to a whole bunch of different zinnias this summer.   Finger report.  It's doing fine with a major clean up today. One reason for no butterfly but a small club is to pad the site.  Typing is improving.  The day brought more sewing with four more bags completed and one waiting for velcro which should arrive tomorrow via Amazon.  Another package of D rings should be included to finish up a few cover ups.  It's been a busy sewing season with some new challenges that keep the sewing room interesting.  I must dig through my fabric for more options.   Lots of meal worms are disappearing again.  Most of the time it's because the pair of Blue Birds are having
